COUNTERACT BUSH-ROVE'S VOTE-GETTING AT THE CHURCHES - LOOK HERE
TNOE (1000+ posts)

This is a repost of TNOE. She has a great idea. Bush-Rove have sent
letters out to all the Churches with Talking Points telling them to
vote for Dumbya. A lot of the ministers are preaching to vote for him from the pulpit.

If they knew the truth of 9-11 would they still tell their people to
vote for criminals who kill their own people?

Read the interview of Attorney Stanley Hilton who is suing Bush for 400 911 families, on Gen Discussion, reprint it, and pass it out to your pastor. Ask him with all of this evidence, can he still advise in good faith and in good heart for people to vote for murderers?

I think TNOE has a great idea. Turn those Church people onto what a
monster this administration really is. Worse than a Stalin or a Ted
Bundy.

"Who is with me? Who would be willing to organize to get this sent out to the CHurch's in your area? "

I would be so very grateful for any help. I will share my cover letter with you when I get it finished. Thanks much.

A Personal Plea to Christians and Other Religions - The MOST IMPORTANT THING

I have been praying for 3 years now that the truth about September 11 come out. As I was reading this

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

(Thank you Cornfield!)
I swear it hit me like a lead-balloon that what I was holding was the answer to my prayers. My initial reaction was to do this very secretly without much fanfare - to recruit 3 people who would recruit 3 people and so on to get this message sent to the Church's. A sneak attack unde the rader. However, I realize how monumental this task is and the only way to really instigate change, is to have many others join me.

I am working now on a cover letter to send to pastors in my area (and it is long!) but what the heck, that's what preachers do is read and study. I want to write the letter in such a way that it will be difficult for them to disbelieve and toss this in the trash. I checked the Yellow Pages and have a list of 50 pretty large Church's (in my geneal area alone) that I am going to send this document, as well as another possible one or two documents. One being the Christian site Earl G has a thread on http://www.christiansforkerryedwards.com (I think).

It's not going to be cheap, but then freedom and change never is. If you haven't read this document, please do so. I am also going to put that article on every car I see parked with a Bush/Cheney sticker on it. And will probably put it in people's mailboxes who have Bush/Cheney signs in their yard. People are being fooled and I can't stand that.

I can't tell you how strongly I feel that this is a huge key - I feel God has answered my prayer through Stanley Hilton (and he probably won't be around long) so it is up to us to save this country. I was raised Baptist (although I am non-religious now) but I certainly know how to write to appeal to the Baptist methodology.

Some of my inspiration came when my mother told me that her preacher had encouraged all Christians to be sure to be registered to vote and to be sure to vote for Bush. They also had a guest speaker at their church a few weeks prior who made an off-color joke about Kerry and then sheepishly asked "certainly no one here would dare vote for Kerry would they". They have got these poor church people snockered, and I for one will not be able to live with myself if I don't try to change that. Its like throwing one stone in a pond - and then wait for the ripples.

Who is with me? Who would be willing to organize to get this sent out to the CHurch's in your area? Can we keeped it kicked at least a day or so? I would be so very grateful for any help. I will share my cover letter with you when I get it finished. Thanks much.

1. TNOE, where's that "short" cover example letter you are writing cause
it's needed here now to give an example for people to give to their
ministers, rabbis, mullahs, imams,,,whatever...

but please post your cover letter for Stanley Hilton's interview.

Thanks TNOE

3. I'm a workin on it Pallas!!
Its anything but short - going down for "smoke" break to re-read once again. Its pretty schwarmy - BUT I want to make sure to get all my points in and make it very hard for them NOT to read it and toss it in the trash as a lunatic's writing. Although I mean every word I say, and its all truth, I've got to appeal to their sensibilities. Let's face it, this report is going to shock the bejesus out of them. I just gave it to a woman who was leaving for the day who is a die-hard Repub and die-hard Bush lover. It will be interesting to see her reaction tomorrow. I would expect this will be the reaction of a whole lot of these preachers.

Pallas - will you take care of the big organizatoins you described previously? I'm going to spend a small fortune sending out 50 packetes and copying costs - but ITS WORTH EVERY DIME!

5. How about a fax machine TNOE...it's cheaper..call and find out their fax #
and fax the pages...

?? and if you can go personally to the church.

Youmight get some publicity by talking to your local reporter
about your beliefs and that its wrong for the ministers to preach
from the pulpit to vote for Bush.

He even asked the pope to have Bishops tell the people to vote for him

The pope let it be known that he thought Bush was the anti-christ.

What do you think of that? you might use it.

Christian college. A lot of the cars have W stickers on them. I would be willing, if someone writes a one-page letter or something, to put them on cars or something. That's legal, right? I mean, when I park at my favorite restaurant, I always come out to find my car covered with ads, so ...

I'm not Christian myself or I'd help with the letter, if needed. :)

8. Okay, here it is but I still don't believe it is quite ready
Dearest Pastor:

Please believe me when I say to you that the Lord has placed in my heart a dire message that I write this letter to his Church family. Otherwise I would not go the great personal expense of doing so. I have prayed for God’s guidance as I write this and I can feel the Angels he has sent hovering above so that this letter will hopefully strike a cord within your heart that you shall know the truth. God asks only for your prayful consideration of this message. I am only an ordinary citizen who leads an ordinary life, although my chosen life path is to seek God’s will in all that I do and all that I am, every day I live on this Earth. I study God’s word every day and have read numerous spiritual studies over the past 20 years in order that I might know God more wholly and completely. I have learned in my studies that 9/11 was a wake-up call for God’s earthly Angels and it definitely woke me up, although I did not know why at the time I “instinctively” knew.

For nearly 3 years now I have spent many a sleepless night worrying and praying for the truth to be revealed, and while it is “out there” with many books being written and thousands of everyday citizens working tirelessly, the media will not touch it. When the attached article came to my attention, it was made clear to me that I needed to take action and that I was holding the tool. I am sending this article to as many churches in this area as possible, and there are others doing the same in their area so that this message reaches as many people as possible. My prayer has been answered but I must now do the work and be God’s tool. The attached article will probably be one of the most important articles that you will ever read. It consists of an interview on the Alex Jones radio show with Stanley Hilton. It will no doubt shock and sicken you, but know that every word Mr. Hilton speaks is truth. What is news to most Americans is also known by many Americans, although the truth has been very difficult to bring to light. I’ve known a great deal of this for 3 years but this article still made my blood run cold.

America is in major crisis and the Lord has asked me to warn his Church’s. God loves his church and his people and he knows of their great love for him. He asks that you please wake up to the reality that George W. Bush is no Christian. Think on this and you will see the truth. Outside of the fact that he “says so” there is nothing that can be pointed to that he acts anything like Christ. Remember, by their fruits ye shall know them. W started an unnecessary war that is slaughtering tens of thousands of innocents and our soldiers are dying needlessly for his own and his administration’s personal financial gain. Make no mistake, this is not some wild conspiracy theory, this is fact. That W’s father, our previous President sat on the Board of the Caryle Group with the Bin Laden family is fact. That the Caryle Group’s function is deal in and profit on weapons and war. Our Vice President is still making money from his oil company, Halliburton, who received all the no-bid contracts in Iraq, received the contract to serve meals to our soldiers and built Guatanmo Bay. This is very clearly a major conflict of interest in the matter of something as serious as going to war.

It has been said that war destroys a man’s soul, and this is truth. Even those soldiers who make it back will be forever marred over the things they were made to do by their supposed Commander in Chief. Believe next to nothing that you hear on the news as it is all controlled by the very same people who have an interest in W remaining in office. All media is now owned exclusively by only 6 corporations. Please believe that with W as President, we will be mired in nothing but war until the end of time. God cannot tolerate this. If you believe as I do that we are truly in the “end times” and we are, time is very short indeed. We have a very limited opportunity to take America back, stop the war, stop the killing, stop the bloodshed and choose Jesus’ teachings of love and peace. God knows this administration has filled his people up with nothing but fear and hatred, which is the exact opposite of what Jesus’ teachings. A vote for W is NOT a vote for God, in fact, it is a vote for the opposite and the Lord has asked that this message be made clear.

One only has to look at the change in America the past 3 years to know that this Nation is no longer a Nation Under God. We have started a pre-emptive war when we had not been attacked and were not threatened, the Treasury has been looted, the poor and middle class suffer more each and every day as jobs are sent overseas (along with a big nice tax cut for doing so), little or no health care benefits, large corporations are escaping taxation, and fraud has been allowed to run rampant, our soldiers are raping women and children in Iraq, we have for the first time in American history people, human beings being held in Guatanamo Bay Cuba without a right to their families or lawyers, many children, many innocent. What has America become? All of this done BECAUSE of September 11, which should have never happened. Does this sound like a Nation Under God to you? Where have our allies gone? One answer, they’ve seen this before with Nazi Germany and they know what is up. Where has the compassion gone, where has the good will gone, where has the love for one another gone? It left when W stepped into the White House. If you’re honest with yourself, you will realize the truth of this.

We have nothing to fear, as everything is in God’s hands and his Will be done, but what has been placed in my heart is his most sincere plea that each and everyone heed this message. The truth will be revealed in time, but if it comes after the election, it will be too late. I have been asked only to reveal this information to you. It is up to you to search your heart and pray for God to lead you in the proper direction. He sent his only son Jesus to be the example and if you think on him, you will know what is right. I urge you to spend less time watching too much television news and more time in meditation and reading the Internet. God truly was miraculous when he created the Internet. Otherwise, there would be no other way for the truth to be told and leaked out. The Internet will certainly turn out to be this administration’s downfall. They pulled a 9/11 and covered it up with the Commission report (just as the Warren report) and thought no one would be the wiser. But they got caught. They are in melt-down now and soon the truth will be revealed and not only will they be done in politics forever, but hopefully they will all be behind bars for the rest of their lives, where they belong. Do not believe the media when you are told we are safer, we are not, but we could have been and would have been. Do not believe that we are having a “jobless” recovery, there is no such thing. And do not believe that all is well in Iraq, it most certainly isn’t. Most everything you hear coming out of that television will be lies on top of more lies, on top of more lies, so be very aware. If you look at it, W is systematically destroying everything that is good about America and our souls.

The storms, hurricanes, earthquakes and other earth changes are going to continue. The Earth is a living being that God has crated for us and the negativity, hatefulness, war and our use of depleted uranium in this war is wreaking havoc on the paradise God has given us. It is our responsibility to be respectful and loving to the planet. The negativity must be clensed. God cannot allow his creation to be so utterly corrupted. However, we can make all of these storms and earth changes less destructive if we remain loving and have compassion and respect for all things that God has created and put on this planet with us. What happens to our environment is more important that you know.

I wish I could sit down and discuss with you all that I know and would love to share, but the climate is very dangerous and will continually get worse. This is not science fiction or crazy talk, I wish it were. It is all too real. All one needs to do is read Revelations and look to the sky, and know that time is very, very short. I am not asking that you vote for John Kerry, as I know he has been demonized. What is good is called evil and what is evil is called good. I realize Kerry is an unknown and has been slaughtered in the media, but he is our only chance to get George W. out of the White House. If Kerry should do or try to do any of the things George W. has tried, we will stop him too. I am only doing what has been asked of me to do, but WHATEVER you do, please
I beg of you, and many of us are begging you DO NOT vote for George W. Bush or encourage your congregation to do so. God told us the Antichrist would fool many, and W most certainly has. I know they are laughing at the trick they’ve managed to pull. Without their solid 33% Christian base, they would be no where.

I can’t speak with you directly, but I can point you to some websites where the truth will be shown to you:

George Bush, World Class Monster – http://beachnet.com/~hoffman/Bush.html (long truly shocking article)
Christians For Kerry – http://www.christiansforkerryedwards.org

If you really want to dig into the truth, there is plenty of material, however I feel like Stanley Hilton’s article is all you need to know for sure. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and I pray for Stanley Hilton’s safety and that you will come to your truth.

18. Wonderful -- a couple of things (for you or others) to consider
I'm knocked out. It's great. And I do think it's in their language, for the most part. WELL DONE!! ("Well done, my good and faithful servant.")

I did have a couple of edits. Don't worry about the ones you've already sent out/printed or photocopied for sending. I just wanted to share these for others' consideration, or your own future mailings if you want to incorporate them.

"cord" should be "chord" -- those pesky homonyms again.

I'd change W to Bush or Mr. Bush or even (aargh) President Bush.

I'd soften this:

One answer, they’ve seen this before with Nazi Germany and they know what is up.

by changing it to this:

One answer. They've seen this before, in Germany in the 1930s, and they recognize the pattern.

Some people have a knee-jerk reaction.

I would also include this link (to Paul Thompson's wonderful work which is all so well documented with MAINSTREAM sources):

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/project.jsp?project=911_project

I have to say I'm also not overly keen on the sell job on Kerry. Voting for Kerry is implied if you urge them not to vote for Bush (and not to urge their congregations to vote for him). I just think that appeal can also trigger the "knee jerk reaction" response.

I'll say again: it's wonderful. I'm very impressed.

24. Yes, Thank you Eloriel!
I really wanted to send info from Cooperative Reserach but was having computer problems yesterday - and couldn't get the site up. I am definitely going to do that. And your edits are spot on.

I felt like I had to add Kerry. A few friends of mine have told me that their parents "hate Bush" and "don't like Kerry" so they are for the 1st time in their lives (60ish, 70ish, 80ish people) are NOT going to vote at all. I told them that was part of Bush's plan was to create "apathy", if they can't vote for him, then don't vote at all. That doesn't sit right with me. Kerry has got to get out there and combat lie after lie, but he can't do it alone. I believe I've done the right thing here, by stressing that Kerry is the only chance we have against Bush - and reiterating that we will keep him honest too. And one other minor disagreement - I've noticed just "W" car signs in quite a few windows - so I felt like that was appropriate. W like he is a man of the people or something.

I attended my best friend's dad's 80th birthday party and lots of church folks there and nearly ALL cars in parking lot had "W" stickers. If people want to change it - they certainly can. But I've got to go with my gut on this.

Thank you for all your comments though, you've got some great points there and I truly appreciate it.

14. Tool:

Go to http://somnamblst.tripod.com /

Thanks Rosebud57! Follow Rosebud's instructions on the site to print the .tif file out (the correct file). The .gif is JUST A SAMPLE.

In May, the Seattle Post Intelligencer published an article about a document they received through the Freedom of Information Act. It was revealed that the SSS is currently “designing procedures” for the implementation of a “Skills Draft” after holding a top-level meeting on it with Deputy Undersecretaries at the Defense Department. This draft would change the very mission of the Selective Service and require “virtually every young American”, male and female ages 18-34, to register for the Skills Draft and list all the occupations they are proficient in to fill labor shortages throughout nearly the entire government.

Here, for the first time, is the FOI document itself:

http://blatanttruth.org/selective_service091304.pdf

This document is real, having been acknowledged by the DoD and the SSS when they said no action is being taken on it at the present time, as reported:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/171522_draft01.html

Although Congress would have to approve new legislation to create a Skills Draft or reinstate the combat draft, Family Circle reported in its July 13 issue that Karl Rove has polled GOP members of Congress in September 2002 to see if they would support the President if he requests reinstatement. The Republicans said they would vote for the draft.

In addition, the SSS itself has said that it is “designing procedures” (Seattle PI, May 1, 2004) to implement the skills draft, meaning designing the compliance cards and the data fields needed to keep track of “virtually every young American” and their skills. Acting Director of the SSS Brodsky has also said the Skills Draft is the “top priority” of the Selective Service for 2004. The Issue Paper options include:

- Allow a non-combat draft for shortages in critical skills, without calling a combat draft.

- Fill labor shortages of all kinds throughout not only DoD but the Dept. of Homeland Security and other agencies, especially high-paying professionals like computer networking specialist or linguist.

- Create a single-point, all-inclusive database, in which every young person would be forced to send in a “self-declaration” of all of their critical skills, chosen from a long list of occupations like the Armed Forces Specialty Code. The usual penalties of imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine would apply to all non-registrants.

In the secret planning meeting document, the next steps strongly recommended by SSS Acting Director Brodsky were:

1. “Promptly” redefine the SSS Mission to draft men and women up to age 34 for skills, and deliver them within 90 days or sooner to the Department of Defense. Program a massive database to be ready to enter millions of names of those registering their critical skills.

2. Expand mission to deliver personnel in skills draft to the Department of Homeland Security and other agencies, including FEMA, NSC, Border Patrol, INS, Customs, Corporation for National Service, Public Health Service and other agencies.

3. Form interagency task force to provide Administration with recommendation on this skills draft for the entire government.

4. Obtain White House Statement of Administration Policy on the future of the SSS.

5. Be prepared to market the skills draft, raising the non-combat age to 34 and the drafting of women to the Armed Services and Appropriations Committee.

In contrast to this planning and preparation to create a targeted draft, Kerry plans to spend an additional $7 billion to strengthen the Volunteer Army in what is essentially a “No-Draft Plan”. Moreover, Kerry is strongly opposed to the neo-con plan revealed in Wes Clark’s book Winning Modern Wars, in which Clark was told by a senior Pentagon official that invasions of Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Sudan and Somalia were planned and still to come over the next three years.

DON'T FORGET TO USE THE .TIF NOT THE .GIF FILE.

BUSH '04 = DRAFT '05

KERRY '04 = PNAC OUT THE DOOR!

I just wanted to make that clear. I hope others will see as much importance in this as I do. Just sent out a huge packet of letters and more to go, but I can't do this alone.

17. Democrats should assemble collages of bloody Iraqi child amputees
and other war caused injuries and deformities and distribute or post them at churches.

Show these folks some photographs of the mangled bodies of innocent children that are the fruit of Bu$h's "good christian works", and proof of what a "good christian" Bu$h is.

How in the world can anyone who calls themselves a christian vote for Bu$h?

Over ten thousand innocent Iraqi citizens have died for no reason because of Bu$h. Tens of thousands more are crippled for life.

Bu$h is a corrupt, lying warmonger.

Makes you wonder what these so called "christian" churches really believe in.

I'm starting to believe that a lot of these churches don't really believe in JC and christian love at all. It's looking more and more like these christians worship Mammon.

21. Kicking for the morning
I sent out about 20 packets last night to my large local area Church's and then to my Mom and Dad's Church. I can't wait for them to tell me what their preacher has to say, although he probably won't get the packet until tomorrow. So I may have to wait to see what he says the following Sunday. They always tell me things they know I'll be interested in. They will probably fall out of their pews if he says something because I'm not telling them what I'm doing, but they know where I stand and they both still refuse to "believe" the truth of the 9/11 story.

Still waiting to hear what the very religious repub lady here at work has to say. I gave it to before she left last night. This morning the article was on my chair. So anxious to hear what she thinks about it or if she'll still speak to me.

I am enclosing my letter, which is long, although like I said, that is what preachers do, read and study, so I don't think that's a problem. I attach Stanley Hilton's interview, Dems Will Win poster of the draft which I blew up to regular size paper, and Minstrel Boy's Rigorous Intuition paper http://rigorousintuition.blogspot.com/2004/08/coincidence-theorists-guide-to-911.html
and now I think I will add the actual lawsuit for the rest of the packets - which someone (Pallas?) so kindly posted on another thread.

I am also going to post this to the 9/11 citizens action committee members to see if they will help also.

How can I find the address for the Southern Baptist Convention or other large religious organizations? Anybody know?

I absolutely KNOW FOR CERTAIN IN MY HEART this is going to make a HUGE HUGE difference in this election. I really feel like Bush's numbers are going to drop dramitcally (and they aren't going to know what hit them) if we can take back the churches. Will you help please????????

I really wish some DU'er could help with the large organizations. I am going to search, but maybe somebody knows how to get to it right away.

32. I honestly don't know
except that I know my mother can't stand to look. Leftchick has a post in GD that will either make you want to hurl or scream bloody murder. Frankly, I feel like I could do both. God this has to stop, please, please, please make it stop. People do not understand what we're up against here.

22. Looks Like the Site isn't Up Yet.
I have also heard that Bush is targeting churches and I would be VERY happy to do a reverse letter/flyer campaign. I just need a flyer to send.

If there is one, please let me know. (I'd prefer to send a flyer with key points highlighted than a lengthy letter.)

23. What site?
Me no understand. What site are you saying isn't up?

I don't know if you'll find anything helpful here or not.

Certainly you can do whatever suits you, but believe me, I KNOW Baptists, and a flyer will not convince them.

I have to always "remember" how afraid they are of hell-fire/damnation. If they even had an "inkling" of thought that Bush is evil, they would not nor could not cast a vote for him. But they will have to be convinced in their own language.

26. KICKING AGAIN
Repub, religious woman told me it made her so angry she could not stand to finish it and that she can tell me hundreds of people who think Kerry is "evil". Oh well - this was in regards to the Stanley Hilton article only. I didn't give her the letter.

28. Here is Section 501(c)(3) info - Call the IRS on churches that violate
http://www.irs.gov/charities/charitable/article/0,,id=96099,00.html

To be tax-exempt as an organization described in IRC Section 501(c)(3) of the Code, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for one or more of the purposes set forth in IRC Section 501(c)(3) and none of the earnings of the organization may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate at all in campaign activity for or against political candidates.

Discussion of prohibited political activities here:

http://www.irs.gov/charities/charitable/article/0,,id=120703,00.html

Under the Internal Revenue Code, all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign funds or public statements of position (verbal or written) made on behalf of the organization in favor of or in opposition to any candidate for public office clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign activity. Violation of this prohibition may result in denial or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of certain excise tax.
...

In addition, other activities intended to encourage people to participate in the electoral process, such as voter registration and get-out-the-vote drives, would not constitute prohibited political campaign activity if conducted in a non-partisan manner. On the other hand, voter education or registration activities with evidence of bias that: (a) would favor one candidate over another; (b) oppose a candidate in some manner; or (c) have the effect of favoring a candidate or group of candidates, will constitute prohibited participation or intervention.

30. 501(c)(3) prohibits church leaders from making partisan comments
http://www.irs.gov/charities/charitable/article/0,,id=120703,00.html

Individual Activity by Organization Leaders

The political campaign activity prohibition is not intended to restrict free expression on political matters by leaders of organizations speaking for themselves, as individuals. Nor are leaders prohibited from speaking about important issues of public policy. However, for their organizations to remain tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3), leaders cannot make partisan comments in official organization publications or at official functions.

To avoid potential attribution of their comments outside of organization functions and publications, organization leaders who speak or write in their individual capacity are encouraged to clearly indicate that their comments are personal and not intended to represent the views of the organization.

31. Darby - you are absolutely correct
and I agree 100% with you - but do you really think many are going to push this and even if they did that they would listen? I don't really. They think they are doing "God's work". That is why I am using the approach I am. I truly believe this is the only way to take back the churches. But I thank you for your comments.
