Polls and reality check.
There was a time, not long ago, when every poll agreed that Dean would win the nomination by a landslide.

There was a time, a few days after the above mentioned time, when Dean lost by a landslide.

Moral of the story: Today's poll doesn't tell you who tomorrow's winner will be. That's why I still believe, in spite of all the dead-heat polls, that KLerry will win by a landslide and leave all the pundits scratching their heads and wondering why.

1. Factor in the millions of newly registered voters
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 01:58 PM by Melodybe
cell phone users, and the fact that minorities and people that fall into the lower economic levels are under polled, that they over sample republicans, and oh yeah they are all owned by the Buchco corporate media, and you a have a good idea of how we are doing.

2. Hopefully Shrub and company are smug
Certainly that tool Dowd sounds smug as he inhales that sludge from Gallup. Let Gallup have Shrub up by 30 next week and maybe they'll all collapse from the sheer weight of their mindless euphoria.

3. If I remember correctly
And I think I do, the closer we got to the primaries/caucuses, the more accurate the polls became -- not always predicting the margin of victory correctly, but often getting the winner right.

4. Just the posts from Ohio on here that i have seen
saying that hundreds of thousands of newly registered voters have been signed up in Ohio give me a very good feeling about this election. I don't see these people registering as new voters to vote for Bush, I think it is a visceral reaction from the citizens of this country to react to what is going on. The fact that these people are not being polled means that all the polls are way off base, and that Kerry has a much higher lead than anyone thinks. I have not seen any numbers on newly registered voters nationwide, but it has to be huge. I think this country has finally woken up and is gong to react on November 2.
