How about a damning TV commercial idea like this?
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 03:23 AM by DaveofCali
How about a damning TV ad against the Bush Administration like this?

Make Bush and his Administration his own worst enemy! A TV ad consisting completely of footage of Bush and the people in his administration, contradicting themselves!

Example: Cheney saying that Saddam was tied with 9/11, then footage of Bush (or Powell) saying that he wasn't. Bush saying that the war on terror will be won, and then him saying that the war on terror can't be won.

Footage could also be included of Bush or Cheney or Rumsfeld saying something and then immediately after, footage of experts or other notable people sharply contradicting what they are saying. Or even footage of news anchors reporting contradicting news!

Put many of these in a 30 second timeslot (and several versions of the ad with different footage). And then put a memorable line at the end of the commercial (maybe you guys can come up with an idea for it!)

I'd say: the Ultimate Wake Up ad!!!

BONUS: Another TV AD, consisting of diverse American people (in their typical environments, standing up, looking at the camera), each saying: "I've had it", then saying their reason (many times that affects them personally) but illustrates the point that Americans should not take Bush's excuses and crap for not truly dealing with America's problems, and say "i've had it" with the Bush Administration, to encourage to vote against Bush.

2. Something like that writes itself. But the Democats won't do it
and, why the hell not.

The best peice like this was about a year and a half ago, when the Daily Show had President George W Bush debate Governor George W Bush.

3. you know...
flame me if you want for this suggestion, but we should start making our own DU commercials ..i am sure that there are savvy persons out here who could manage it and we could just pull the old repuke 527 (is that the right term?) and add a disclaimer at the end of them that they are no way affiliated with Kerry/Edwards or DNC..we just make them and distribute them as a public service.

4. One more idea
Quote Bush's statement to the Guard in NV about Iraq going well, and then show the stats-and the opinions of most folks-the headlines-etc, etc.
