Why isn't the media telling me this?
Those in blind support of Bush love to use the Flip Flopper on name Kerry and use his vote for the war then vote against money to support it as an example that he cannot be trusted to lead the country if he can't make up his own mind (This I perceived from talking to others and the Daily Show interview with Pat Buchannon).

Here is the thing:

Kerry voted to give the president the authority to go to war as a last resort IF the president agreed to return to congress and explain his decesion in 48 hours if he chose war. The president agreed (by accepting the bill) then refused to explain his actions (FLIP FLOP).

Kerry voted against the 87 billion (which by the way had lots of pork barrellel money for things not related to the war) as a symbol of protest against the president for not following the first bill.

Bush said Iraq was involved with 9/11 then said it wasn't FLIP

Bush said Iraq had WMD, then it didn't, then it Did FLIP FLOP

Bush said we needed to fight a war in Iraq to prevent terrorism, then to capture WMD, then to free the Iraqi people for democracy FLIP FLOP FLIP.

Why doesn't the media talk about the war in Iraq, examine the records of the two men and let everyone know the flipping and flopping that is really going on?

Why are we focused on Vietnam?!?

*rant off*

1. More importantly, why do people now seem to think that Kerry was wrong
to protest the war in Vietnam? Was it a good thing for America? Did it accomplish anything? Did all of SE Asia become communist? No.

He did his duty. He served above and beyond the call. Then he came home and called "bullshit" on Nixon. Now he's insulting verterans? Please. If you were in Vietnam and made it home, send John Kerry a thank-you note.

As for all the talk about reinstating the draft, allow me to paraphrase the NRA: "They can have my SON when the pry him from my cold, dead hands."

2. The media doesn't tell you about it because...

Kerry never SAYS anything about it. Part of the Democratic philosophy of " stick your head in the sand and maybe it will all go away".

They will not report it unless Kerry SAYS something about it. Unless he SAYS something about it, the fact that Bush is the true flip-floppper will go unreported. And the image than Kerry is a "flip-flopper" will remain etched in stone.

This is less the media's fault than it is Kerry's ( though the media is totally biased toward Bush, especially the punditry).

Paul

3. good point Paul
I'll write to the Kerry campaign about the issue to see if they are gonna take a stand or take in sand (to play on your analogy).

Obviously the media is biased so writing to the editor won't do much good (my last LTTE had a response from some freeper that I was spouting DEMOCRATIC propoganda *sigh*). I notice on my paper (in relation to the Bush NG documents) that articles for BUSH (FORGERY) appear in the top of the fold, while articles against bush appear in the lower fold--much less prominent.

Also this week in HUGE FONT was the headline UNEMPLOYEMENT DOWN TO 5 YEAR LOWS. Reading further I saw that the 5 year low was during CLINTON's term, the low was due to harvesting employment (central cal is big on agricultural) and that if not included the unemployment numbers were as dismal as ever.

Is the media biased for Bush? You bet it is!

4. Ms... You're right on all counts...

If I may ask... how do you communicate directly with the campaign?

i.e. through a website or....? Any feedback that leads you to believe someone is listening?

Paul
