Thank you Howard Dean! I salute you.
:salute:
He was on CNN laying the smackdown on paula zahn.
yeah I was watching wrestling and switched over to hear dean speak.

He was great. Said don't look at the polls. Only poll that matters is on election day, and Dean says he knows that better than anyone else.
Says people will wake up to shrub lies and boot the liar out.

5. She looked like she was going through the screen after him....
at one point. She was trying to get him to criticize Kerry, he wouldn't, she said "Look, Gov. Dean" in a cross way and really seem perturbed.

He called Bush a bigger flip-flopper. Called him dishonest, inept, and everything else.

12. Further proves my point that the media has defined this entire .....
election, from the taking down of Dean to the taking down of Kerry or bush* depending on their whim, or more importantly their current sponsor. The media is the ruination of this country. Laci, Kobe, Michael, Hurricane X for 72 hours non stop, etc...

26. You're absolutely right!
The media is a huge problem and it's not going to end with this election.

After the election, this forum should stay just as focused on calling the Media on their lies about the new Kerry Administration,

7. If she did that routine on McCain
namely trying to wedge between the guest and the candidate he endorses, it would have made more sense. She deliberately was trying to discredit and wedge, not reveal some real enmity between dean and Kerry such as substantially exists on personalities alone between Bush and McCain.

Not that making this point does any good. You go on these shows and you know you are on airhead partisan territory. Fortunately she is an airhead, the chambers empty, the ammo all wet.

19. WHY don't they have an instant CANNED response to that, like what
McCain said about Bush in 2000?

can't they TRAIN them not to ANSWER that stuff at all, and turn it around on a similar point?

it's not DIFFICULT

they should put them all in a room and wire up their nuts til they get it down

21. No, the Dems can more than hold their own
and it is not quite so bad as the martyrs making their case in the Roman arenas. But it is difficult to keep everything you want to say in mind while pretending you are NOT under unfair conditions.

8. Paula hasn't forgotten her talking points.
She noted that "some people" have said Kerry's a flip-flopper.

Yeah? Well "some people" say Paula Zahn is a right-wing asshole.

14. I saw this too. Dean was great! He is such a good speaker.
Very concise and to the point. Kept Paula from controlling the interview. Kerry should be very happy to have Howard on his side going to bat for him.

23. What a lier. He never changes.
He supported the moderate Democrat for Governor in Vermont using the excuse that the progressive "might not win".

This is Vermont folks where even 3rd party canidates actualy win statewide if they are progressive.

And to make matters worse , Vermont elects Governor every 2 years so even if a Rethug wins one cycle there is no safe haven and we can pick him off the next year.

Nothing is worse than obsession with polls and ignoring of issues the "D" stands for.I actualy think Dean supports moderates because he agrees with them but if he's going to insult our intelligence and portray himself as a liberal using the "we need to win" excuse then we need to call him on his crap.

A moderate Democrat in Vermont could be somebody we are stuck with for like 40 years once they get elected. And its what is killing this country and driving turnout WAY down , 2 identicle partys with identicle policys.

27. Such bitterness over pragmatic decisions.
Makes me wonder. So what you just said is that since Dean is trying to keep the parties from being identical, that he is the one driving turnout way down. That makes no sense.
