I proposed at the Kerry forum that it was pointless to spend so much money on swing voters when there probably some 110 million non-voters. I proposed trying to reach them with a cheaper ad campaign... bus ads and ads in small newspapers. It all hinges on a short message that might get the average uninvolved citizen to get concerned over the direction of the nation. The idea was to show a picture of some recognizable sports stadium or large building in the area and then showing a mountain of cash that represents Bush's deficit or debt. The basic idea came from
