Ronstadt, King to Sing Kerry's Praises

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Linda Ronstadt and Carole King will sing the praises of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry at an event in south Tucson.

They also plan to register voters and encourage early voting at Sunday's event.

King and Ronstadt, a Tucson native, will discuss why they support Kerry's positions on education, health care and the environment, Natalie Luna, spokeswoman for Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz, said this week.

1. Rumor Is The ACT Tour Will Have Lots Of Guests...

Someone I know "in the biz" said this upcoming tour will be full of guest appearances (both political, "Hollywood" and other music stars) that should be very impressive. Many of these artists haven't been announced as they weren't originally available to do all the dates and will pop up here and there as their schedules warrant.

For example, expect Carole King, Rondstadt and David Crosby to join James Taylor...Tom Petty, Jon Bon Jovi and even Neil Young could make those last concerts in Florida some kick ass times. Plus there are supposed to be special surprises at each venue.

We haven't heard much about the tour since it's being worked on as I type...but things are coming together and the GOOPs biggest fear...hundreds of thousands of young voters and a massive media blitz they can't control.

I can't wait!!!
