How will you feel about our country if Bush wins?

I think I would feel more sadness than anger. In the sense of thinking about how we started, everything we've been through and fought for over our history. Knowing it's ending..

3. It's how the rest of the world will feel that bothers me most...
I will feel as the previous posters have said... angry, sad, shame, etc. But the rest of the world is what I worry about. I think they gave the American people a pass last time, understanding it was a stolen election and wanting to believe that most of us knew better than to have this man as our president.

However, if Bush really wins this time (and it is seen to be a legitimate election), then we're sunk. All the world will shake it's collective head in puzzlement and dismay. We will have finally lost all credibility as not just the government will be seen to be lunatic and dangerous... so will we.

6. Not all of us will.
We can all see how hard you chaps are fighting this one and even if Bush wins, we'll still know that there's hope in the US.

If Bush does take this one, your country will hit the skids so hard that the Republicans will never get voted in again.

However, I for one will be making a dash for New Zealand. Blair is almost certainly going to win again in 2005 and the thought of four more years of those two leading the 'free' world is enough to make me run for the hills.

8. Bless you, I appreciate the confidence.
I hope you're right about the Republicans finally running amok to the point that they finally become totally discredited. I'm just afraid they will have caused irreparable damage to the country by the time that happens.

Hate to hear you think Blair will be back in also... that must be really hard to take. Say, think you might have an extra seat on that coach to New Zealand? :)

15. Yeah, it's no fun here.
The problem is that Blair is supposed to be on our side! In the early 80's he used to make attacks on Reagan's policies in Parliament!

Unfortunately, his closest rival is Michael Howard and the Conservative Party. There was an outside chance that Blair was going to hand over the reins to someone else, but events in the last week suggest that he's very keen on a third term.

But, there is still hope. This morning's news from Iraq is pretty brutal and if it carries on like this until November, that Bush Bounce may quickly become a Baghdad Burden....

If not, I'll see you in Auckland and the first round is on me!

country is now in full control by Christo-Fascist thugs who want to undo everything this country strived to achieve since the great depression. I will really be afraid of what this country will become in the near future under this scenario. Imperialist America will run roughshod over the rest of the world, the rich will get richer and more powerful, the middle class will disappear, and hate and power will rule unchecked.

5. I'll have to join together with certain moderate Republicans...
and work toward greater State's rights. Maybe we can secede from the union on certain issues.

7. Fear! I will have true fear, unlike the fear that this admin is pushing
I will fear for the future of this democracy.
My fear is that if shrub keeps the office that the United States as we know it will be destroyed.
Democracy will be dead, shrub will make himself the dictator.
We will attack more Islamic countries and more of our young people will die.
I fear there will be more terrorist attacks in the US
I fear most for the future of my children and yours too. They will not only have to fight this creeps wars but pay for the irresponsible fiscal ways this regime has followed.
I pray every night that he dose not continue to be the leader of this nation. You should pray too.

12. Ashamed
This country will become the world's rogue state, and no one will come to our aid if we are attacked again. I also fear widespread persecution of non-Christians and progressives.
