The GOP giving rival network a scoop or an exclusive interview....revoking credentials....having one of their flunkie groups like the Heritage Foundation come up with a letter/phone campaign to protest a media outlet.....cracking down on "obscenities"... etc...if you cross them.

Media is such a big business...and it's ONLY a business now...that they can't afford to cross anybody like that. And of course, the media is more than happy to take the easy way out theses days...especially for "friends". And of course, the media let this happen....mostly they didn't care...and mostly they make money from it.

A few years ago an acquittance and I were talking about this (this person worked for a DC media outlet). This person said the DC media all knew that Bush Sr. had a "special friend" on the side...but the editors and producers were not only forbidden from investigating it, but they couldn't even talk about it....for fear of getting fired. All because of promised retribution by the conservative groups on behalf of the GOP.

31. i saw kitty at the wiw today on cspan...

...and she was very good. There isn't an ounce of hubris or arrogance in her. Answered questions about the contents of "The Family" and made the audience laugh through-out. She has been a good supporter of WIW and their program to aid writers being suppressed by government and private businesses- including Sinatra, who tried forever to keep his biography by her from getting published. Kitty's a trip- without the baggage.
