Why doesn't Kerry have SPANISH bumper stickers like Bush does???
Here in New Mexico I am absolutely sick of seeing VIVA BUSH stickers! The Kerry campaign has NONE in Spanish. WE ABSOLUTELY need to get a crap load of stickers to appeal to the Hispanics in swing states like New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and for that matter even Ohio, Missouri and Florida. Any state that has Hispanic voters. We need to see ten VIVA KERRY stickers to every ONE Viva Bush sticker.

Gore never did this and look what happined to him in 2000? He got the lowest number of Hispanic voters in years.

Who can tell the Kerry campaign to get on this RIGHT AWAY?????

5. I did! But I think when you submit an idea by e-mail it gets lost in the
millions of other e-mails. Someone on DU with connections needs to get on the phone pronto!

10. That is a lousy sticker as you cant even see the part in Spanish.
The VIVA Bush stickers stand out like a soar thumb. If you look at the Kerry sticker the part in Spanish is in Red on a Red background. Thats a really poor design in my opinion.

12. Again, you have to look to close to see it's in Spanish the VIVA Bush
stickers stand out like a soar thumb. I have probably seen a number of the Spanish Kerry stickers but NEVER read the bottom.

11. We have Spanish T-shirts in Milwaukee
I don't know if workers got them printed themselves or what, but they're there, plus a contingent of Spanish volunteers.

13. Don't criticize what you ignore
At least one such sticker exists, and reads "Unidos con Kerry"

But I'm hanging on to my favorite "Hispanic by Birth, Democrat by Choice" - goes beyond this November, too.

14. That's interesting...
For some reason it had never clicked with me that the "Viva Bush" stickers were his "Spanish" stickers. Perhaps just because that's a Spanish word that is used by a lot of English, non-Spanish speaking speakers as well. I just figured it was another of *'s silly campaign slogans- like those horrible "W '04" stickers.

I agree that Kerry should make more effort to appeal to Hispanic voters. I hear more about Shrub's efforts, as transparent and ridiculous as they seem to me; that could just be because the media has always played up his supposed popularity with Hispanics. Maybe Kerry is doing more than I hear about. It's definitely important Kerry get his message out to Hispanics, not only because they are a key voting group that could help him carry NM- and possibly CO and NV for him, but because a Kerry victory would mean an agenda that would better the lives of Hispanics and all Americans, for that matter...

17. I don't think Kerry has done nearly enough! He needs to be seen with
Bill Richardson on a regular basis among other things. Today on a local radio show here in Albuquerque, Martin Chavez, a Democrat mentioned that he had not received a phone call from Kerry and he said that Clinton was much better at reaching out to the Hispanics than Kerry seems to be. Perhaps I have been missing something but living in New Mexico the message is getting lost it seems. I don't see the effort the way it should be done by catching a National audience. Kerry needs to do something with Hispanics that will show Nation wide on at prime time.

15. The hated NDN also has a Spanish language ad.
Of course, it has subliminal messages in it telling people to vote for the Republicans. :eyes:

16. Unidos con Kerry/Edwards
I picked up this bumper sticker yesterday at Albuquerque Kerry Campaign headquarters at the same time as I got my Richard Romero sticker. I would so love to see Heather Wilson defeated.

Take up a collection, have a bake sale, then go have your own printed.

Don't wait for somebody else - - just do it!
