In the spirit of Butt Man, the cigarette that followed Bob Dole around the campaign trail in 1996, the South Carolina Democratic Party today unveiled Billy the Tax Bill.

Billy is the anthropomorphic embodiment of H.R. 25, Congressman Jim DeMint's bill to impose a 23 percent federal sales tax on almost everything South Carolinians buy.
