What do we do about the national slam job on Rather?

The Republican shows (including McNeil-Lehrer) seem to feel that all that matters is whether CBS has proven to the public that the documents were the originals and not whether they are true. None of the claims of disprove refute the fact that the signature is genuine. Maybe they were typed without a secretary or maybe a temp was used that day. Nothing that has attacked Democrats has ever been authenticated and the issue is the truth that is in them. What do we do to end this slanted Republican reporting? I'm ready to pack up and move to another country.
