"Freedom is on the march": more gems from the tone deaf administration
Yes, freedom's on the march, and if you listen carefully, you can hear the jackboots from here. I suppose the cross of Jesus is going on before, too...

Some people call it a swagger; I just call it goosesteppin'.

If you remember Orwell's "1984", the destruction of language was the major goal of the government; if you can take away the words, the ideas go with them. Once you get people cozying up to irrationalities like this, it's a short sashay down the primrose path to killing out of love.

"Let Freedom Reign" is a fave too; not only is it an idiotic misquote of "from every mountaintop, let freedom RING", it's a deeply ugly oxymoron: to reign is to rule with unquestioned and kingly authority, and how "freedom" maintains this tyranny is beyond me. What's most scary is that an idiotic statement like this, passed from Fearless Leader to Condi while at a big meeting in Turkey, passes muster to such a degree that signs were printed up for the great New York Hatefest.

Freedom is on the march; it will crush and subjugate anything in its way. It's first victim is one's rationality.

People who can only express thoughts in terms of violence and domination are thugs; mercifully, they don't sense how ugly their blustering comes off.

1. Fascinating catch, Purity. It's all violence and domination.
Linguists will be studying this madman's words for generations to come.

2. Oh yes, you have put this very well, as for how thugs operate...
...I believe they do sense how ugly their blustering is and also how effective it can be. There is nothing merciful that I can see in that. This is why such persons resort to violence and domination, to get their victims to comply. When compliance ceases, their victims usually end up dead. The thug also under goes another, darker process over time.

Although the thug manages to always maintain control by being emotionally detached from both their victims and the tools they so effectively apply, over time, like a heroin addict needs greater and greater stimulation from their newly found power of intimidation and control and thus reach the pinnacle of the craft, which is killing for the pure exhilaration of the deed and knowing they are above the law and perhaps above God. That is when such individuals completely surrender their souls over to evil.

3. Yeah, the prospects of the "drug tolerance" effect are chilling, huh?
I guess the only way you can top Iraq is to do Iran; Syria would hardly seem vicious enough to even give you a half-decent contact buzz, no matter how much the PNAC wants to divvy it up with the IDF.

The unchained meanness and pettiness of this nasty little nobody is a scary prospect if he's given a mandate; it scares the snot out of me, and I'm pretty damned snotty.

It's like serial killing: the high has to be greater and greater each time. Wait...did I say LIKE serial killing? It IS serial killing.

5. Somehow he's gotta be failing the sniff test with lots of casual observers
I'm just aghast that he's still trying to sell the "Kerry's gonna raise yer taxes" flim-flam with the argument "you all know what the rich are like: they hire lawyers and accountants" so they can skate on their taxes...

"The rich"? Like you and your friends?

If it wasn't hard to avoid taxation, why would he be raising the issue?

He's REALLY talking about those rich guys like he's one of the folks? Why does nobody call him on this? What nauseating cynicism.
