New Proof Bush Snorted Cocaine - I got National Enquirer copy
Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 08:23 PM by rmpalmer
Enquirer puts it on it's cover at bottom. Pic of * and Pickles with headline I posted. Center Story is Chandra's Killer Found.

Story is a 2 page spread near end of magazine. Pics of a frowning Chimpy with mound of coke imposed on pic, opposite page has pic of Pickles with doobie imposed. Bottom is a small 70's pic of * and Pickles.

Story mentions Kitty's allegation then says Enquirer has tracked down others who make "similar bombshell charges!"

Quotes Toby Rogers author of Ambushed: Secrets of the Bush Family, the Stolen Presidency, 9-11 and 2004.

Rogers claims in 98 he met with 41's former chief of staff Michael C. Dannenhauer at a Mexican restaurant in Houston in 98.

Dannenhauer confirmed Dubya's cocaine use, lots of women, but drinking was the worst. Lots of it in Mexico-lost weekends. Called him "out of control since college."

Article implies 41 discussed openly with friends.

Article quotes Adam J. Smith, former associate director of the Drug Reform Coordination Network and drug policy reform advocate. Says Dubya has a cocaine problem, says he has problem "getting his story straight and being completely honest with the American public about his own involvement with drugs".

Smith is mad at Dubya's hypocritical stance on sentencing for drug offenses.

Article also tells of Laura selling dime bags of grass.

Family source told Enquirer "George is ignoring Kitty Kelley book and has told his staff to dismiss it too."

Article also mention "Fortunate Son" allegations by Hatfield and said they published an article about W getting caught with cocaine in 72. (June 2001)

Article ends with "And because his daddy was rich and influential, he got his son off with a little community service at the minority youth center instead of having to pick cotton at a prison farm!"

4. Problem with this is it's the National Enquirer!
They may have the truth this time, but because of all the BS they've published in the past, there's simply no credibility there. Too bad.

6. Funny thing is that the Enquirer is more often right than not . . .
but their earlier reputation has stuck and they have no credibility.

11. Isn't it owned by a right winger?

And didn't someone snd white powder to the photograper of the Enqirer and he died?

I read the Enquirer all the time. Most of the time the side with the red, white and blue stuff.

If they put this in , they must have solid sources.

22. The Enquirer does get a lot of things right
They seem to hit their target more than Drudge does.

They built up a better reputation (for a sleaze rag, anyways) during the whole O.J. Simpson thing. The other tabloids still make shit up out of thin air, it seems.

They'll never be up there with the New York TImes, but they do get things righ more often than not.

16. i think that's Ironic...I think it's delicious...I think...
Rush is a hypocrite, and Bush is worse.

At risk of prolonging my self-discussion, I think i'd rather get to the supermarket and score a copy of this rag so I can frame the cover (and then sell it for muchomegabucks at a flea market in 20 years).

If it were the Globe or the Star I wouldn't believe it, but...
actually (and many of you will laugh) many of their stories turn out to be true. If they say they got a guy, they probably do and they probably paid him lot of dough. Think of how many folks pick up an enquirer in the grocery store. People that will not read any of the political books by woodward, or clarke, will read the National Enquirer. It may just change a few votes.

Now the Shrub is getting his due.

The only negative thing I ever read about Kerry in the Enquirer was that there were questions that maybe he was unfaithful in his marriage 25 years ago while seperated but still technically married. But those records are sealed-this is where they get the idea.

As an aside, I read in Newsweek that a rock was thrown through the window where his baby daughter was sleeping during the time he testified about Vietnam. It said that that stress was a big reason the first marriage broke up.

So there, dammit, Kerry has been through worse than BushCo!

18. Is that what they ran prior to the anthrax mailings?
I had heard that the Enquirer was getting ready to run or had run something embarrassing to the Bush family, right before the anthrax was mailed to the Enquirer office and the reporter died.

Then - some weeks later - anthrax started showing up here there and everywhere, killing people. And nobody's ever been charged, even though authorities say it is very fine anthrax that had to be developed in a lab.

Remember the Tylenol murderer? Law enforcement never caught the first one, but they caught a second copy-cat who murdered his wife and then planted poisoned Tylenol in his local drugstores to make it look like a random killer.

I wonder....

Say what you will about these rag papers but they really dig and get some excellent stuff mainstream media wouldn't have the balls or ingenuity to do.

NEW PROOF BUSH SNORTED COCAINE

While President George W. Bush's spokespeople are denying the allegation in Kitty Kelley's new book that Bush used cocaine, an ENQUIRER investigation has tracked down others who are making similar bombshell charges!

One source, author Toby Rogers, said a former member of George Bush Sr.'s staff revealed to him that George W. used cocaine and "has been out of control since college."

The issue that goes on sale Friday explores Kelley's charge that George W. did cocaine at Camp David while his father was President, that First Lady Laura Bush sold marijuana in college ... and much more.

And here's another encouraging article:
