The questions raised about the memos are mostly b.s. They were dubunked here on DU. It's clear that a typewriter of that era could have typed those memos.
Nobody has proven them to be forgeries. Nobody has proven that they couldn't have been typed.
All Rove has done is succeeded in raising questions and by getting the rest of the media to repeat that they are forgeries over and over again - he's succeeded in getting most people to believe that they are forgeries.
But there's no proof of that at all. Just because Rove says it doesn't make it true.
I know I am in a minority on this. I honestly believe that the memos area real, or else are recently retyped versions of real existing memos.
I think that BushCo has been worried about something like this happening, and they had contingency plans in place. There's nothing new in their "kill the messenger" strategy. Rove's defense is always an attack.
they must be assumed to be authentic. The who, what and where are plain and simple. I must have missed the part were they were actually proven to be forgeries.
