For Oklahoma it isn't so suprising. When we were there last weekend, the Kerry signs in the public right-of-ways had been stomped down. I stopped and stood them back upright. When I drove by again the next day, they were stomped down again.

1) a month or so ago, a homeless man was acquited of murder after defending himself from unprovoked attack by a brass-knuckle wielding bar owner. Townspeople started sporting "Fuck The Homeless" t-shirts.

2) in the 1920's, the largest race-riot in history ended with the total destruction of what was called the "black wall-street"--the largest concentration of black owned property and wealth in the country.

In some cities it's illegal to post notices on telephone and utility poles. You might check Tulsa's municipal code, and if it's not legal there (and I suspect it isn't), contact your local DA's office. If this posting is sponsored by the swiftvets, he might bring charges against the organization.

Photograph as many as you can and note the addresses on a map. The more they post, the more counts can be added to the complaint.

47. Those signs are possibly in violation of election laws

I don't know what the laws are in OK, but in FL and most other places there are specific rules that apply to political signs.

Usually it is required to state clearly in small print who sponsored and paid for the signs.

I would call your local board of elections and report these signs to them.

Also, since the SBV's are a 527 they are subject to the same sign laws as the candidates.
