During the Florida election for Governor I had dozens of signs stolen. I even went as far as tying fish line around them and led the line back to my bedroom tied to a bell. One night the bell went off and I took off running to the front yard. I didn't see the culprits but the next morning I found the signs in the next yard. I'm pretty sure they hid behind a tree and I barely missed catching them.

This year.... I'm gonna catch them and I might just do a Barry Bonds on their ass.

Do you have any plans for post-capture? Call the cops, or just give them a tongue-lashing, or howabout take their photos and threaten to send them to the cops if they don't volunteer at a local shelter/soup kitchen/etc.

6. Rub habenero pepper oil all over the signs

when they grab it, their hands will be covered with the oil, and they won't even know it. Then, when they go to rub their eyes, they will experience excruciating pain. :evilgrin:

Runi it nightly until the signs disappear. When they disappear, you've got 'em on tape (or disk as the case would be)!

Then I took another piece of chicken wire, cut to fit, and wired THAT over the opposite (exposed) face of the sign. Then I tied the whole construct together with some more wire.
It ain't going ANYWHERE. This is a VERY Democratic neighborhood, but the one Republidink in these here parts just so happens to live right next door to me.
He and I don't like one another much. Wait until I build my (stinky) new rabbit hutch right under his deck next spring. That should stir things up a mite.
