3. Chimpster ahead of Kerry by 10 points in Wisconsin?
I'll believe that poll if someone shows me one where Kerry is ahead of Dumbya by 10 in Utah.

4. I find that CO poll especially suspect: KE04 is pumping more money
for ads, according to the papers. I can't imagine they'd do so, if it was that far out...

7. Denver's paper had K-47%, B-47% last Friday.
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 04:58 PM by Touchdown
Rassmusen yesterday had Colorado with Bush 48%, Kerry 47%. The Pueblo paper's poll is bogus.

Who is Ipsos Public Affairs?

8. Colorado and Wisconsin are bullshit
Those states have been neck-and-neck, with Wisconsin leaning slightly toward Kerry.

No way Bush is up by that much in either state.

9. Front page of Rocky Mountain News yesterday
An article showing voter registration is WAY up with the advantage going to Dems.

My former students in Boulder & Fort Collins have told me that voter registration is everywhere on those campuses with a huge lead toward Dems and these students are likely underrepresented in the polls.

Add in the Hispanic vote that might be undercounted (although it is hard to say if the poll was done in the Pueblo area) and Dems should be okay. There are also more Colorado Repubs crossing over than Colorado Dems going toward Bush.

Plus...there are a lot of sneaky Dems in Colorado registered as Repubs just so they can vote in the primaries and vote against the local wingnuts.

No way does Colorado break that far apart. Floyd Ciruli has been in Colorado a long time doing polls, but this one has got to be way off.
