Is there really any way Kerry can lose?
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 05:10 PM by gee double you bee
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this. But it's my understanding that technically and literally all Kerry needs to do to win the election, is carry all the states Gore did, plus one swing state. It seems almost out of the realm of reason that this won't happen. Kerry has more support than Gore had in 2000, and Bush has less support than he had in 2000. So from a purely mathematical standpoint, doesn't Kerry losing have about the same odds as getting stuck by lightening? Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating for effect, but I really don't see how Bush stands a chance.

3. Some vulnerable states: Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania
and BTW we need to win a couple of states, not just one. NH (which we will win) is one, but we need another to go over the top w/o Florida. And we should win FLorida.

4. I wish you were right but...
I think we proabably need to win by at least 6 or 7, otherwise it will be another voting ballot/machine fiasco only this time in Ohio.

5. You heard it here first.......Kerry wins in a LANDSLIDE,
356 EV for Kerry, the rest for shrub who follows into Bush 41's
one termer label. The poster is exactly right, there is more
anti-Bush voters this time than with Gore in 2000.

6. I hope so..
Kerry's been running a pretty steady campaign so I think if he keeps it up that we can pull through. I think the only way we're going to have real problems is a major screw up on Kerry's part..and hopefully he won't have any in the next 2 months. He needs to do well in the debates though, IMO, to really start pulling ahead.

I was reading a book last night and it said "No incumbent President or Vice President has won a close election campaign since 1916", let's keep it that way (at least for the time being!). :)
