Bush is too stubborn and inflexible to lead the U.S.

Take the Bush tag line and turn it against them.

They claim he's the guy who can stay the course, doesn't change his mind, is resolute...

Well I say his stubborn refusal to recognize problems and adjust accordingly is why he has failed on so many fronts, and could continue to fail us on an even broader scale in the future.

On every point we should hammer home that Bush is stubborn and inflexible and therefore not a good leader.

1. I'll go further - one definition of insanity is to repeat the same action
over and over and expect different results.

That pretty much explains Bush, does it not?

5. Shrubya is like 'auto pilot' and that's not necessarily a good thing.

I used to put my sailboat on 'auto' now and then and believe me, you will stay on course and not deviate. You will also run into other boats, shoals, rocks and sand bars leaving you in one hell of a mess. Yep, just like the shrub.

6. Obviously Bush has ever been on a job interview!
I spent a lot of time weaving "flexible" "innovative" "receptive to change" "thinks outside the box" into the conversation to get my management position because "stubborn" "inflexible" "obstinate" "narrow minded" "pig headed" are not desireable traits for a leader (or anyone else!)!!

7. Someone who is so concerned with being perceived
as a leader that he bulls ahead with policies that have failed time and again has gone beyond stubborn and into insanity.

Dump him.

I've been saying it to people I know for a long time now, and I simply can't understand why the campaign has let the 'flip flop' label stick on Kerry without challenging it *and* let the 'Bush is a strong, resolute leader' meme stick without challenging it.

The way to go about this:

"Bush is a stubborn, wreckless, egotistical, ignorant man who 'stays the course' regardless of facts and reality, is unwilling to work with anyone unless it is done his way, unwilling to take advice from anyone unless it is what he wants to hear, doesn't believe in educating himself on issues and in fact takes pride in knowing as little as possible.

We cannot afford 4 more years of a leader who may only face reality when it is too late. There are threats gathering in the world that he simply refuses to acknowledge, choosing instead a misadventure in Iraq which has made America and the world less safe. We should have dealt with our immediate threats instead of engaging in an elective war. Now we have sacraficed precious resources and lives in Iraq and the situation there is spiraling out of control. Al Qaeda has regrouped and North Korea has gone nuclear.

It is impossible for America to do this alone. The war on terror is a global war requiring a global solution. The only way terrorism will be defeated is by joining together with our allies and all freedom-loving nations accross the globe in a united effort to weed out and crush terrorist networks."

12. Bush cannot adapt to a rapidly changing world.
He can't handle change. His old (military) solutions don't work on new problems. Terrorists in 63 countries don't give a damn how many tanks and bombers he has. The "retrain for new jobs" spiel is left over from the 1980s and it does not apply to his new manufacturing jobs flipping hamburgers. Health care costs continue to skyrocket out of control and he has no plan of any kind to contain them. Bush is way behind the curve and it is costing the country its future.
