and if so what could it be? A high Profile Repub. backing Kerry or a document that fully shows AWOL, F9/11 Mess up, Proof that He lied about Iraq on purpose, ect.

both campaigns will -- it has become routine.

In addition, Kerry's whole style has always been to hold back his best ammo for the end, so I would bet the October surprise will be a good one, better than Bush's (unless they have Osama). Also, Kerry probably knows more about the Bushes and the current Republican power structure than anyone, having been in the Washington scene for over 30 years.

25. The time to catch Bin Laden has past,

Just before the Dem convention would have probably done maximum damage; now, it would seem too calculated and only rally the base. Even if Bush brings home thousands of troops for Halloween, or maybe some saber rattling with Iran by launching a cruise missle or two, or another fake alert, I don't think the Republicans can do much damage unless:
1) they have footage of Kerry making out w/Jane Fonda in Ho Chi Minh's bedroom, or
2) they are really low enough to stage/allow to happen another psuedo-9/11 event
3) WMD are found in Iraq (and can be proven not to be planted!)

The Dem's Oct. surprise could be:
1) the Roger Stone piece of the puzzle;
2) the original documents that were later forged
3) Bush's girlfriend comes forward about the abortion
4) corroboration on the Camp David cokefest, or other drug info
5) Valerie Plame's leaker
in addition to the ongoing mess in Iraq, the economy, F911 on DVD and Bush being Bush (today's headline in the San Jose Mercury -Knight-Ridder paper read "Bush unapologetic on Iraq")
