Any idea how the ratings were for JK's Regis and Kelly appearance?
I know Letterman had a ratings boost, but I haven't heard anything about Regis and Kelly.

I know this much: I have never watched Regis and Kelly before in my life - well, I would occasionally catch the last few minutes waiting for The Price is Right (:P) - but I watched it to see JK. :D

1. How did he do?
If I'd have known he was on today I would have watched cause I was home.

3. He was on yesterday, actually.
His voice was pretty shot - he had the early morning voice that's lower than normal - but the message was spot on, and he was witty. Particularly with his crack to Regis about Bush needing lifelines at the debate. ;) ;) ;)

9. He did great-talked ND-BC football with Regis-kids with Kelly
Notre Dame (Regis alma mater if you haven't heard) and Boston College (he went to law school there)

He started talking to Kelly about her son. She said she had never seen the boy in so much awe.

Kerry then told the story of two kids who raised $300 and $600 for him by selling bracelets and buttons.

When Regis started pulling out the pictures of Kerry's life they talked about him being a prosecutor. Kerry said that he saw the fear in the face of a rape victim when the accused (found guilty) came in the courtroom, Kerry founded the FIRST rape counseling center and Regis remarked that everyone has them now. I didn't know that and that was the PERFECT place to bring it up.

Kelly commented that "You are GEORGEOUS!" and said that in the movie Tom Cruise can play Edwards and uh....cross talk....Harrison Ford can play Kerry.

Kerry tailored his message to the audience and did very well. Regis asked him about Iraq and Kerry went into his 4 points.

2. havent heard
but Kerry said that Bush took so long to set up the debates because he needed lifelines, Mr. President, would you like to have all the answers taken away but the correct one, poll the audience who agrees with you 10000%, or call a man in the dark shadows :).

5. He needs to fix his voice:
He should make sure his voice is ok before the first debate.

8. I hope so.
He gave a speech last night and his voice was really shot. Perhaps he has the same problem Clinton had; remember how the Big Dog would always lose his voice near the end of the campaign?

10. Rege and Kelly were LOVING Kerry.
I'm no fan of the show, but I tuned in to see Kerry. Kelly Ripa was all over the K-man. It was a very warm welcome.

rove is so clever.

11. Why don't they get better sound equipment at his presentations....
I mean... there are ways to barely wisper into a mike and have it sound as if it was coming down from heaven... he should not have to raise his voice at these events in order to be heard.... that would go a long way towards saving his voice.

13. Not sure if I am at the right place
Went to a Teresa Heinz Kerry rally in Sun City in Phoenix today, she seemed to be very tired. She defended the nurses, so proud as my daughter is thinking of going in that field. Can hardly wait to talk to my daughter tonight. Teresa talked about healthcare and education. How wonderful to hear her speak, she does not read a speach given to her, she moves around talking without notes. She talks from the heart. Love that woman! But she is tired.!!! I can understand, I'm 62, no way could I keep up with the type of life style she is living.

One of the many things she said but stood out was... I speak five languages, John speaks different languages too, we can communicate to other nations. You go Teresa! You both can communicate? Shrub are you reading this is? Oh, forgot, you can't read.

The stupid pugs were there....

Interesting there were four or six pugs that were yelling the pro-life stuff and calling Kerry a murderer. A woman who had an abortion and a senior came up and said "are you calling me a murderer?"-- the pug just turned away. I then went up to that person and said who are you calling a murderer? Bush is one, how many died in Iraq? I did this three times, each time she backed away. They can't answer questions. The thing is the pug woman who made most noise was standing there with tights with the crack of her butt showing. This annoys me. Please wear correct clothes.

The scarry thing is -- the people sounded like they were clones of Limbaugh! That is the same as when I listen to left wing radio, the right nuts, sound like they are clones of Limbaugh. Does he do something on his show to hypmotize these people? Am I missing something here? Do you hear these right wing nuts? They are clones of Limbaugh.

Then this guy shows up with a camera, really didn't think he was from a TV station as the camera did not have a logo and the pugs were talking with him. I think the camera was a pug camera. So we will probably see, thousands of neocons protest at Teresa's speech. Yea, six neocons.

I can't tell you how many people were there, many many seniors is all I can say, but the the entire rally was very disorganized. I received a phone call last night asking me to volunteer, then volunteers arrived three hours beforehand... it was a mess. There were many people who said they will no longer volunteer- it seems nothing was coordinated. This did not speak well for Arizona. I was planning to attend a Democratic center not from me but I was turned off today. The volunteers were kicked in the butt.

First of all, the rally was in Republican territory, great turnout for pug territory.

My grammar is not perfect but my spelling is great. Hope this doesn't mean I am a descendant of Shrub. God help me please.

Spelling is my asset!
