Has Cat Stevens ever spoke out against Bush?
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 09:16 PM by WinterStorm
Why would Cat be tossed out of the US and banned for no reason at all? I forgot for a minute that we are living under a dicKtatorship and you cant speak out against our dick..tator.

They are saying that he gave money to terrorists groups. Aren't all groups that have a Muslim background considered terrorists by the Bush administration?

1. He runs an Islamic-interest children's charity
He started it during the Balkans war when the world was paying no attention to the suffering of the Bosnians.

3. That must be it
because EVERY Islamic charity funds terrorists. Or didn't you know? :eyes:

2. They say he has 'connections' to terrorist groups
He looks pretty loopy to me. Completely nonthreatening, and if he did have substantiated connections the Brits would have likely done something about it.

4. He was in the United States
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 09:26 PM by Nicholas_J
Two months ago with no problems whatsoever. However recently in a speech he made about the terrorist attacks on the School in Russia where he condemend terrorism, he also re-iterated his opposition to the war in Iraq, without reference to the United State, the president, or politics. but I bet that was enough for them to put him on the list as a harassment.

I mean, he has been coming to the U.S. regularly since 9/11 with no problems, andthen suddenly he appears on the list.

5. some guy on MSNBC
(I know I shouldn't be listening to them but I can't help it--it is like looking at a car accident on the freeway) said that Cat supported a fatwa for killing an author a while back? I don't know anything about this and it sounded like something that happened a long time ago even if it ever did happen?
