His interactive polls have Kerry 2.5 point ahead of Bush in Wisconsin, and the Zogby poll is accurate as of the 20th of September, the ABC was finished on the 19th.
Another indication that Zogby, Rasmussen, and Media Matters analysis of all of the polls done by the network news/newspapers, and major national magazines. Media Matters did a study of all of the polls done by the major media and found that all of them skewed the polls by polling more Republicans. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CNN were mentioned by name in the media matters article.
Zogby has been on a crusade lately, as almost every day one of his articles points out the fact that a number of independent pollsters have analyzed the polls done by the media and all of them were found to be skewed for favor Bush. Zogby seems almost incensed by this, almost as if he is trying to indicate that the media seems to be using polls to try to sway voters rather than indicate what voters are actually thinking.
I have seem four articles done by major independent pollsters who are criticising polls done for the major media, and after following their analysis, I am ignoring all polls but those done by independent pollsters.
Zogby has Kerry aheadc of Bush, and the ARG polls done a few days before the ABC polls indicated a tie. TheABC poll seems to be an outlier.
ABC seems to have reacted to the criticism that Zogby made of Gallop by hiring another pollster, but this pollster is also getting the same results that Gallop did. It seems that ABC may be requiring that the pollster come up with a certain result before they even do the poll. ZOgby's poll has Kerry over 50 percent in Wisconsin, and as another pollster indicated, voters just do not switch their affiliations in such a radical manner in the period of a week.
In fact, TNS has a web site which states that it is one of the largest marketing firms in the world, but their web site is still under construction. Many of the links giving information about the company are dead links.
The links regarding business sectors they represent are active, but their public opinion polling information link is also "UNDER CONSTRUCTION"
It seens that they have little or no experience in doing political polls and this is ususally indicative of a client who is hiring a company who will be somewhat "flexible" in obtaining results that the client sems to hint that they desire.
I have had a number of years experience hiring marketing firms to do polls for government agencies to "find out what the public wanted" and we always found pollsters whose polling of te public desires were lock step with what the head administrators hadplanned to do in the first place.
The web site for the marketing firm that ABC has hired to replace Gallop is at:
