Watch David Letterman Interview John Kerry

David Letterman interviewed John Kerry Monday night on "Late Show with David Letterman."

When Letterman asked about the negotiations over whether the candidates would sit or stand during the debates, Kerry said "George Bush is going to sit on Dick Cheney's lap" (perhaps referring to Bush's unwillingness to talk to the 9/11 commission without Cheney present.)

Kerry said we have "an amazingly divided America" though Bush had promised in 2000 he's "a uniter not a divider."

Kerry said of his own goal, "We're talking about cleaning up the environment, we're talking about health care for our citizens, we're talking about restoring America's reputation in the world."
