Edwards (re Bush): "He has crushed the American Dream in four short years.
Now THAT'S A LINE.

Just saw the interview on Larry King.

He talked about how these guys had made life virtually impossible for working Americans. Strong stuff; let's see how Deadeye Dick does on October 5th...

1. Could this be his return to the concept of
the two America's?

I hope so, that was a good line.

3. How do they respond to that? It's undeniable. It's what they're all
about. The wealth that has been given to rich people cam from working Americans. People are working harder and keeping less of what they contribute and create for society.

I'll tell you what Bush will do though. They'll trot out the .01% of working americans who are doing better because of Bush (the janitor down at the bomb factory) and have him do a commercial which will make the other 99.99% feel like they have personal problems that prevent them from getting ahead.

They'll make people feel that if they're not getting ahead it's because they have dysfunctional personalites. They'll make people feel like the government is not responsible for whether you have more opportunity.

4. He's wrong
It only took one year. 2002, bush started with post 9/11 support and a federal surplus.

By the end of the yaer he blew them both

5. was talking to kids and niece about trickle down theory
give to the rich so it can trickle all the way down to us. sittin in silence. then i say, you know just the word trickle in and of itself is offensive. all we warrant is a little trickle. here some are dieing of thirst and they get just a trickle to wet the appitite, how offensive and condescending, adn they were able to sell it

7. How did the rich get rich? Paying workers 10% of wealth they create
And people think that that wealth premium they paid to the rich, which got sucked up to the top, is somehow going to trickle back down?

They didn't want you to have that wealth the first time, what makes you think you're going to get anywhere near the fair share of what you created after they've got it?

Yeah, trickle down. Until they call in the plumbers (the Republicans) to use the law to fix even those little leaks.

8. That's the kind of line....
that will win it. People understand that on a visceral, gut level. And it's the truth.
