Support at County Fair is phenomenal
County Fairs are traditional in Maine. So are the political booths.

At our Fair the county Dems booth has been swamped! People are stopping by all day saying how disgusted they are at * and his administration. I've never seen anything like this ever!

This is a very heavily GOP county. People talking like this is not the norm. We have run out of every piece of literature, every button, every sticker we had at the fair. People want lawn signs like never before!

I am so encouraged by this. If small-town (GOP) Maine can be this excited about defeating Bush there's no limit to what we can do come November 2!

Keep up the good work everyone.

3. Heading out to the Common Ground today
Maine Organic Farmers Assoc fair in Unity.MOGFA They always have a huge poliltical tent and it is overwhelmingly liberal and progressive. I usually buy a book there and maybe some buttons or a bumper sticker. If by some quirky chance, there are any Republican tables there, I would think they would be best advised to make themself as small as possible.

4. It's a good day for the Fair!
THe Waldo County Dems are providing the booth but it's being staffed by people from all over the state. It should be excellent.

Have fun!

5. I just got back after 4 days on the Maine coast -
I saw dozens and dozens of Kerry bumper stickers including a lot of Veterans for Kerry. They were everywhere! I saw 6 Bush/Cheney tags including during 18 hrs of driving. Very encouraging.

6. Gotta Love That Yankee Sensibility
While the media fascinates on the "solid south" or the "red states", like it's some barometer of national psyche...I'm very encouraged at what I've seen happening in New England.

Looks like Kerry will sweep the region, including New Hampshire, with 55% or more of the vote in the region. Impressive! This is especially heartening since many of these states were solid Repugnican ones until the Raygun and Gingrich revolutions. It's also an area where Progressive and Liberals, in both parties, are making a difference that hopefully will reach other parts of the nation...as the ensuing Democratic majority starts to find it's voice and legs.

Cheers and keep up the great work!
