17. Prez needs to read his CIA reports, they aren't guesses, they are
analysis.

* just wants to stay the course. It isn't the right road and I laid out a plan in NY on Monday.

How to stop beheadings? all about security. Do more rapid training by flying the trainees out of Iraq to other countries to train.

Sect of Defense lied about how many troops were ready and the Prez doesn't hold anyone accountable.

It is a question of judgment.

4. "America needs leadership to tell the truth."
Eviscerating Bush on his "stay the course" head-in-the-sand mentality. Says Iraq has become a magnet for terrorists. Encourages Bush to "read the National Intelligence Estimate." Also said he fought in a war where the leaders didn't tell the truth.

Very strong. Presidential, dare I say.

38. The press is always there. A huge hoard is following him constantly but
they have heard the stump speech hundreds of times and look for new news especially if they get to ask questions. You never know what is going to happen in a live news conference. These aren't pre-screened, pre-approved questions.

I thought he wasn't allowed to call one--that only the President and certain other people are--and that's why the press wasn't covering what he said. (And why there was no way to get them to.)

The question is how many press show up. For the Dem challenger, usually a lot do. Yeah, probably looking for some misstep or something they can trash him with later.

reporters who are with him all the time.

They seemed exited and said you could feel a big change since Monday (don't we all).

They didn't know if it had effected the polls yet but they were definitely liking it and that helps Kerry get much better press.

... "you have to provide security!" He says the president needs to change course to be able to do more rapid training in nearby countries, etc. ... Rumsfeld "mislead the American people about the number of people who have been trained."

"It's a disgrace," Kerry says, that the president and the defense secretary have both lied to the american people about the sit. in Iraq.

CNN just stated that Kerry just hit * hard, strong languauge. He did great.

Such a relief to see Kerry who can talk in complete sentences and think in paragraphs.

I was actually very civil. I just said that I don't think Bush wants to handle the situation at all. It looks like he wants to just ignore what's going on because he knows he's blown it with the international community, so there's nothing he can do to clean up the mess he made. We need someone new with a clean slate and credibility to come in and get things done.

48. I did the comment thing too
And basically raved positively about how Kerry has been thinking about this stuff since before the Bush Administration was a twinkle in Rove's eye (one of my older comments) and that they should go read his book on international terrorism to see that he actually knows his stuff and didn't have to be taught.

I told them I used to be an ABBer, but now I'm a true Kerry fan, and that I would give my right arm and most of my internal organs to see him elected.

51. As a final note, Even the reporters sounded relieved to be getting
real, substantive answers and the impression I got was that the reporters were framing complex questions that really had to be answered in words of more than one syllable, and sentances of greater than three words. My pet goat, indeed.(snort)

I can just imagine JFK in the debates asking the genius, "Since you lied about every other important issue so far, why should we believe you, now?"
His throat must hurt enough so that he actually stopped talking when there was enough said and you can easily tell he was pissed at both the genius and Allowi and wasn't willing to waste the effort being nicey-nice. So clear, direct and on target, at this juncture predict Kerry in a landslide! This is the candidate we're working for.
