Our block's yard sign Arms Race
It all started off with four of us in the center putting up K/E yard signs...

Suddenly the fringe elements at the end of the block each put up three (count 'em, three) B/C yard signs. Each. As I walked by this morning and a woman was pounding in her *fourth* yard sign, I offered a cheery "Good morning" and got nothing in return.

Stupid biach...put up as many signs as you want. We each get one vote.

1. You spoke to her and she didn't respond? It's not good being bitter
so early in the morning. Some people are so stupid, especially republicans.

4. Whatever makes her feel good
as long as Kerry wins. I harbor no resentment.

2. The Bushies in my neighborhood have resorted..
to multiple signs also.

I'm going to be moving in a few weeks, so I'm considering making a final statement.....something like a 12-foot tall animated Bush doll with flames shooting from his ass!

7. Pyrotechnics are very effective
at getting Republicans' attention...

That's a great idea...like those houses that go nuts with Christmas decorations. Have a pre-election "Bush fiasco" theme, complete with dead Iraqis, fat cats stufffing their pockets with dollars from the groveling poor, smokestacks spewing pollution...hmm...

5. It's apparently kind of a macho thing
which, as we know, Republicans hold near and dear

6. I've only seen one campaign sign on private property.
And it's a Kerry sign. :-) All the other signs are on public easements, and those are overwhelmingly gop signs. Two huge b/c signs along the side of the road have bumper stickers on them. One sign has a sticker right across bush's name that says, "How many wars do you support?" and the other has an, "Asses of evil" sticker slapped on chimpy.

10. in the Greensboro are of NC their are several businesses
with huge K/E signs on the sides of their buildings and on their property. I love seeing them from the interstate. I told my hubby I wanted one as big to lay across my roof!;-)

8. My town forbids political signage in yards.
Honestly, I kinda agree. I really would hate to know if a neighbor supported *.

9. Point out
that they can only vote once. Multiple signs won't change that.

11. "Clever" yard "sign" spotted yesterday
I was dropping my kids off at their youth group and drove passed a gated community. They aren't allowed to post yard signs of any kind, but they had instead taken the landscaping bricks and used them to form a "W" at the entrance of the community.

After pulling over and vomitting, I drove on.
