1. We're registering so many in Colorado, that...
...they can't keep up.

http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~23827~2420209,00.html

Several Colorado counties face heavy backlogs in signing up a swell of new voters and are scrambling to update registration rolls before early voting starts Oct. 18.

Jefferson County, home to the largest number of voters in the state, has about 15,000 voter registration forms waiting to be processed. Denver election workers have whittled their backlog from 20,000 down to about 6,000 forms.

Watchdogs fear the rush to input tens of thousands of names and addresses may result in inaccuracies that could affect tight races on Election Day.....

2. Thats good BUT
The only way CHimpy wins is if Stupid Dems vote for CHimpy. I never thoght the hard part of this election would be having to work for our base. There is actually people who voted for Gore voting the other way. Mind boggling.

3. I don't know about numbers, but local news in Cleveland has reported
several times that counties are hiring extra people and working overtime to get registrations processed.
There has been some scandals where people who got paid to collect registrations were using names of dead people just to collect the money.
I know there a couple of counties that have double their voter registrations from 2000 this year. That would be over 60,000 alone.

4. cuyahoga county had a backlog of 30,000 forms to process last week
We reported it at my televison station http://www.woio.com

The head of the BOE assured us that they'd have them all processed in time for the deadline.

We did have some discouraging news today.
Reports of several registration forms with false addresses in Medina County and at least one registration card with a false signature.

Plus some interesting stuff out of Lake county

7. Not fraud but paid registers
I was told that the Voting Is Power org. pays for each registration. They get paid for bad registrations but it doesn't lead to a fraudulent vote being cast.
