CBS: One in Four Say Debates Could Help Them Close the Deal
(CBS) Americans are eager to see President George W. Bush and his Democratic challenger John Kerry finally debate head-to-head, and one in four voters says their decision could hinge on what they see next Thursday. For those voters, the debates could be decisive: many of them are uneasy about the President's performance and the direction of the country, but also have reservations about John Kerry.

2. it is just so astonishing to me that there is anyone
AT ALL in this country who is undecided at this point. You are either a knee jerk god/guns/gays reactionary or you are like the rest of us. This isn't such a hard choice. Where are they coming up with these people?

5. Bush is toast.
What card does he have to play? We know now how important it is to have a foreign policy background and he's alienated just about every Allie we've ever had -- and we had a lot right after 9/11. Also, his plan for the economy isn't benefiting middle class America -- taxes are for the rich and the Middle Class's jobs are being outsourced to India. Plus -- since we don't have taxes anymore, this Administration is conspiring to resolve the loss of funds for social programs, by tapping into Social Security to take care of the immigrant issue. I'm surprised no one has put that one together.

And worst of all for Bush, we know this time around that he can't brush off his lack of experience by promising to surround himself with a staff of experienced people because we know now that IT DIDN'T WORK THE FIRST TIME! There is no one on his staff that didn't err, and err BIG!

What card does he really have to play?

6. They'd better be checking bush* for miniature hearing devices because
they're not going to let Cheney go up on stage with him at the debates.
