Got to see Teresa today here in Las Cruces, NM!!!

A fellow DUer and I got the word yesterday and managed to conjure up the last couple of tickets...Teresa did a Conversation about Healthcare to an overflow crowd...about 300 in the actual auditorium and who knows how many outside.

Let me tell you....this may have been a political event, run by Women for Kerry, but what she did today you can imagine she has done many times before before NGO's, conferences, etc. She came prepared with a red notebook with tabs all set up...

It was sort of like listening to a college lecture, but actually she spoke less about Kerry's actual plan than about the holistic view of health care she and John share.

I took copious notes and hope to write this up for Buzzflash.

Anyway, at the end we crowded down to the front and we managed to get her autograph...she was equipped with a silver marker...and simply wrote across the ticket.....'Teresa' just like a rockstar!

As we left a goofy reporter from the El Paso Times wanted to talk to us and we did. She took our names and we fully expect to be misquoted tomorrow. She wanted to know about the debates and we both told her point blank that what we didn't want to see was the media spin...You know, two middle-aged ladies were inspired by Teresa, so we let the reporter have it...bluntly...right between the eyes!!!!!

I have a "holistic view of health care", too, and I'm Delighted to learn that about the Kerrys. I'd be interested to know what their view is.

I was posting something about Kerry's sore throat last night..saying he should have a home rememdy because those prescriptions give side effects. Whatever he did worked fast!

I am collecting loads of political signatures because everyone seems to land here in NM and it's so accessible here in Las Cruces!

The first question to Teresa after her talk was about John's cold and she said he's much better....he's doing a major speech on TERRORISM tomorrow, so he was resting his voice this afternoon....

There was a contingent from Texas and a lady told Teresa..."Don't give up on Texas!"
