"..than Americans who believe America is on the right track?" !!!!

If so, he should resign. That is such a bomb of a statement! It should indicate to him and any thinking person just how much he has divided and destroyed this country. Anyone with an ounce of dignity would resign under such circumstances. I cannot believe he would say something like that. That is so telling.

1. The press'll just brush it off
And just make it a non-story, which is sad but true.

3. Where did he say that?
I missed that nugget of wisdom from him today.
I would LOVE to read that article before they spin it!

8. Yes. And not only that -- Allawi said...
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 08:26 PM by chookie
Mr Rove instructed Shah Allawi to say (I paraphrase) "Americans have a distorted notion of how well off Iraq is now, because of the disturbing images they see on their tvs everyday."

This may play well with the Fox-Schmooz "Dan-Rather-is-Satan" crowd, but the rest of us would argue that in reality we get very little coverage of the carnage in Iraq. We just see a teeny tiny bit, and obviously His Chimperial Majesty and Shah Allawi don't think we can even handle that without going all wobbly.

Boy -- imagine if we had more complete coverage on this war, without the whitewash -- imagine how pissed off people would be then, huh? Probably as pissed off as people in our countries that have a free press who actually do get to see this stuff.

Apparently Iraqis can't handle images of carnage in their own country, because Al-Jazeera has been banned there by Shah Allawi. Yeah yeah -- they love to say that Al Jazeera is one-sided and purposefully instigates violence, but, like good journalists everywhere USED to be, Al Jazeera go after EVERYBODY's ass regardless of political affiliation. And SURE SURE -- now that Al Jazeera has gone, Iraqis have no idea of what is happening in their country, and feel pretty darned good about this war, right?

Do they think we're all on drugs? Are they on drugs? It is simply bizarro listening to Thug Allawi mouthing the script that Mr Rove handed him (Challabi was a far better actor, I'll give him that).

They just got handed 200 billion dollars. I'd say that's pretty well off.
