2. He hits the nail on the head ( vendetta against Rather by Bushies)
I love Tom! He was the one I stayed up late for in high school and learned about the world.

3. Brilliant guy

He went out on top.

If he were still on TV today, he'd be one of the best hosts around. Say what you want about him, but he was always a class act who did things his own way.

Kilbourn turned Snyder's old show into an embarassment.

5. I wondered what happened to him. So, he writes a blog in CA, now?
Amazing that so many old hacks with half the talent are around now, and Synder's out to pasture.

I remember him from over 12 years ago in NY but then he dropped out of sight.

Thanks for the post. Nice to see he's still around somewhere. Nostalgia...

7. he retired when he left CBS and sold his LA home 2 years ago
He retired when he left CBS and was keeping a house near San Fran and a house near LA.

A couple years ago he sold the LA home.

He updates his blog about 2 times a month.

great to read.

8. Thanks for the link.
I think Snyder's suspicions are right on. This was a set up by the WH, imo.

Don't forget about "Buckhead", one of Karl Rove's operatives who posts at Free Republic: http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-bu

Here at DU, we have a true hero, Walt Starr. It took a Karl Rove operative to try to play catchup with DU for Free Republic. The significant difference is that Walt Starr righted a wrong, and "Buckhead", an undercover Rove operative, was using the freeper board to cause destruction.
