We need more talking points.
We have to hit Bush harder on the foreign policy front. We're already hitting him pretty damned hard, and we got a nice shot in the arm over the last couple of days, but we need more. We have to take him down at least a few more notches. They haven't gotten to the point where they're doing more defending of themselves than attacking of Kerry, and that's unacceptable.

We need to hit Bush on North Korea, on Afghanistan, on their seeming support for Chechyen terrorists, and, most of all, on the fact that, after more than three years, the war on terror itself is a failure and Bush STILL doesn't have Osama bin Laden.

We need short, concise points that all Americans can agree with, and we need to show our support for a viable, opposing position for each issue.

At the same time, Kerry needs to stay on message and keep hammering at Bush's failure in Iraq.

What do you think?

2. I know EXACTLY what you mean,
but it's too conceptual, too intellectual.

We can't call em fascists because we can't prove it within a sound byte.

Otherwise, that would be issue number one.

3. Posted a LTTE elsewhere...
But anytime a Republican or an Independent tries to repeat the party line about things getting better in Iraq, remind them that the equivalent of an entire army division has been wiped out in Iraq -- Killed and Wounded in combat. And that last month (August) the equivalent of an entire Regiment was destroyed.

Ask them if that's getting better, what does getting worse look like?

6. Actually, we need fewer talking points.

I know, it's criminal the way Bush* boils down a complicated world to a handful of two or three word phrases. But that's the way talking points work best - when they're short, simple, memorable, and few, and they're repeated over and over and over again.

My latest favorite - from Monday's speech - is "23 different excuses for invading Iraq." JK needs to keep hammering this one.

23.
