Since Republican Sen. Ben Nighthorse Campbell announced his retirement plans in March, more than 120,000 new voters have registered in Colorado - a higher number than registrations from 1990 to 1994, according to state records.

Republicans in March had an 186,354-vote advantage over Democrats in Colorado. They now hold a 178,845-vote advantage, a drop that may help Democrats on Nov. 2, said political consultant Eric Sondermann. </snip>
