Richard Armitage said to Congressional committee
"Iraq isn't going according to plan so we had to call an audible." Does anyone think that is a very Cavalier attitude about real life and death War? He is equating it to a football game. I find that appalling. No one in the Media seems to have any problem with that statement but I do.

1. If that's what they think of it...
... I guess we gotta go with the flow....

"Hey, Armitage, watch us sack your quarterback!" :)

2. Is that what Bush is doing?
Lobbing a "Hail Mary"? Greeeat.

Sort of like the "Great Dictator" playing ball with the world.

4. It is

You go to the huddle and set a play

Then you get ready to run that play

The Quarterback looks over the enemy and then changes the play

6. Not only do I find that a diffident attitude
Edited on Fri Sep-24-04 04:53 PM by Book Lover
but that seems to be poor strategic planning; there were no other scenarios in the can? Obviously, I'm not a member of the armed forces, but I do plan things for a living...

on edit: Thanks for the explaination :-)

5. He was even more appalling in 9/11 Commission hearings
His appearance at the 9/11 hearings was inept and offensive to me since he was so cavalier and casual about it, admitted not being prepared for his testimony and joked about watching a ball game the previous evening. I never heard any criticism of his attitude then either from the media.
