bush is the first occupant of the White House...
that I firmly believe that I can do a better job of president. The first. I don't consider myself overly intelligent. I've never felt that way about any president that I've lived under, not bush41, not Johnson or Nixon.

I know I can outperform bush at being president. That's really sad.

15. My agility dog
I have seen bumper stickers proclaiming, "My agility dog is smarter than your honors student."

How about, "My agility dog is smarter than the President?"

3. Think about it.
If the goldfish had sat in the oval office for the past 4 years, and done nothing, NOTHING, not changed a single thing, we would be in a better place in America today.

5. A year or so ago ...
I had a conversation with a woman about Bush. The best thing she could come up with after I pointed out all the dirty things he had done and was doing (and that was a YEAR ago) was to ask me if I thought I could do a better job.

I honestly thought about it for a moment and then could honestly reply, "Yes." And I can't think of many other presidents I could honestly say that about ...

17. it's true around the WORLD. the unfortunate fact is that the ONLY
exceptions to this rule exist here, among the rethugs and the MEDIA, who are the most important factor in the race

pugs' access to 24 hour a day propaganda could be the key to how easy it is for them to steal it again

13. We are really living in a part of history
that will be told for centuries to come by our future generations.
* is going to go down in history as the "very, very worst president" ever in the history of this country. No one before him or anyone after him will ever, ever be able to accomplish that feat.

16. This is why I get so annoyed
At the question, "which candidate would you rather have a beer with?"

How is that any criteria for choosing a leader!? I don't want some dope in office that I'd be happy drinking beer with! I want someone smart and capable who can lead the country and keep it strong and economically viable!

Yes, Norbert, I'm sure any of us would do a better job. I think my computer would do a better job and that's saying something because it's a piece of crap!

:wtf:

18. Better job...
My two senior cockerspaniels, 15 and 16 can do a better job. They are great security dogs... They let me know when someone is approaching my house, they let me know beforehand when the doorbell is going to ring. They also let me know when someone comes to my door whether I should trust them or not.
Come pugs to my house.... let my dogs tell me all about you.

They may be old, but they are my protectors. So bye bye Homeland Security... met my Homeland Security.

20. What a great country!
Edited on Fri Sep-24-04 09:26 PM by DemFromMem
Remember when it was not an act of anti-Americanism to criticize Ronald Reagan? I remember thinking during the 80s that we must have the greatest political system in the world if we can have an idiot in the White House for eight years and the country still managed to keep running.

I don't mean to suggest, by the way, that who the President is is meaningless. Just a coping mechanism for getting through Republican presidencies :-).
