This is not realistic. Even with the CNN poll it's probabaly much closer.

btw The registered voter sample had 6% more (R) and likely voters were 5% more (R).

7. People are in a bitchy mood.
Bush is worthless and Kerry isn't the Messiah. It's frustrating.

19. if people expect Kerry to be the Messiah...
...they need a fucking reality check.
Kerry is going to be a fab president, but c'mon. He doesn't have all the answers and he won't bring peace on earth, but he will make it a better place.
Gawd, I swear, people need to be more pragmatic on politics...

20. Nader may only get 1% in battleground states. 5% in safe states
So that would make the poll about even as Green's are not going to come out in droves if they think their vote could put Bush back in this time.

5. PLEASE! no more national polls....they are WORSE than meaningless
Edited on Fri Sep-24-04 06:00 PM by buycitgo
as long as they feature Bush, they only serve to further the illusion that he's popular, and winning

it's reinforcement PROPAGANDA....most especially CNN

the only polls that matter anymore are the ones in schwing states, and most of those are still useless, as well

STOPPmittensie!

12. I hope you're right.
How could this many American people actually support such a horrible man. I only know 3 people who are voting for him (my brother is one).

17. how could Kerry get LESS than Gore did?
how could anybody voting for Gore switch to Bush?

that's been asked quite a few times, and it seems an imponderable to me

therefore

minimum for Kerry of 48 percent

Nader at 5 tells you all you need to know on that one! They really must have massaged the data to keep Bush ahead.

10. Perversely, this is GREAT news.
Even though the absolute numbers may be way off, the change from a few weeks ago shows a huge gain for Kerry.

Time had Bush ahead by 11%, and a week later by 12%. Now, his "lead" has been cut in half and is only 6%.

Kerry is body slamming Bush every day with the Imposter's incompetence in the "War on Terror". It's working wonders.

Go Kerry!

11. What's more..
the Nader vote will probably collapse, with 3 of those 5% probably going to Kerry.

Which means that according to this very GOP-oversampled poll, the race is a statistical heat. Now imagine had it been weighted properly..

13. Note the party breakdown
In the previous poll, when they had Chimp up by 11, 34% of respondents identified as Republican. In this poll, Chimps support drops, depsite the fact that in the NEW poll, 36% of respondents identified as Republican.

So they skewed the sample even more! and still have Chimp falling.
