he's on now with Lehrer, spouting the PUG line that Bush is ahead with security moms?

how the FFFFF do YOU know? on what worthless POLLS do you base this knowledge?

why do you spread that garbage, much less taking the LEAD from Bitch Lowry, instead of disagrEEING with him on Kerry's supposed weaknesses in the WOT

he's getting worse by the day, more in tune with the Achordate Party

I'm sick of him

he's beginning to look like he's lost all his testosterone, and it's showing

16. Some analysis by Zogby regarding a Judis and Teixeira theory
http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20040919/news_mz1e19white.html

"In July, John B. Judis and Ruy Teixeira, co-authors of "The Emerging Democratic Majority," wrote a piece in The New Republic titled "White Flight: Bush Loses His Base."

"In their analysis of Gallup results from the spring, Judis, a senior editor at the magazine, and Teixeira, who writes a weekly online column, Public Opinion Watch, for The Century Foundation, found a narrowing in Bush's lead among white working-class voters, the bulk of the electorate in key states like West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri. They attributed that narrowing gap in part to the souring of views toward the conduct of the war on Iraq.

"But in the months since, according to pollster John Zogby, the political terrain has shifted, to Kerry's clear detriment, toward a focus on the war on terrorism. According to Zogby, Kerry has a double-digit lead among voters who name the economy, health care, education and the war in Iraq as their prime concern. But among voters who are most concerned about terrorism – a group that includes more than its share of white males – Bush wins by more than 40 points.

"If Kerry focuses attention on the economy, health care and the conduct of the war in Iraq, he wins," said Zogby. "If the discussion is going to settle on the war on terrorism, then he loses."

9. Regardless of label, white women will decide this election
That is the volatile group, responsible for critical swings in preference polls. Kerry's chance to win this election rests entirely on his ability to sway them back. I do not dismiss at all an emerging security mom bracket.

Chuck Todd provided the key numbers a week or so ago on CNN. Bush's gains since early August have been almost exclusively among white women. Kerry had a 5 or 6 point margin among white women, something like 49-43, when he enjoyed the national lead in the polls, but Bush had taken a small lead in that group after the Republican convention and maintained it. Todd said that the white women's vote was almost a perfect predictor of state preference in 2000. Bush did not win a single swing state in which he managed less than 45% of that block.

I host debate watching parties among casual voters and have always noted the quick conversions among white women. In 2000, for example, 3 of the 4 white women in my living room were appalled at Gore's antics in debate #1 and announced a switch to Bush, almost embarrassed they had planned to vote for Gore. No one else in the room seemed to give a damn about the sighing.

The good news is we have apparently registered a considerable number of single women this cycle, white or otherwise. In 2000, I think the numbers were 20 million single women failed to vote and 16 million were not even registered.

11. Let me get this straight?
3 of 4 women saw sighing in a debate and switched their vote based on THAT???!!!! I guess you don't hang out with the Mensa crowd, or even the 100+ IQ crowd. What a bunch of dimwits.

12. Not hang out with, intentionally select
They are people I know in Las Vegas who vote in presidential elections but don't follow politics closely, if at all. Mostly casino employees like blackjack dealers or cocktail waitresses. Virtually the same group gathers at my place every four years, a few additions or subtractions. I might not socialize with them again until the next debate four years later.

Admittedly, this began as an aid in political wagering, a betting pool I am in with 15 other guys. I want instant feedback from that type of dimwit crowd because I guarantee it is more representative of the last minute swing voter than anyone who can wade through a policy yarn. Those recitals send my crowd lining up at the bathroom.

In 2000, I knew instantly Gore had forfeited a sizeable chunk of the women's vote he had gained via the convention smooch and the September tour of Oprah, etc. The women in my home were still talking about a lack of respect Gore had shown after the debate, while Chris Matthews was blabbing about the technical aspects. Of course, a day later all he could talk about was Gore's behavior.

15. And I read "the sighing" was
done at the suggestion of paul begala..Of course reading it does not make it true..but paul begala(I read) was assigned to Gore, for debate rehearsals, when Tom Downey had to drop out because of the "debate tapes" that were sent to him from a gop operative(one of rove's tricks?)

It was said paul also recommended "rolling the eyes".
