Why do Democrats have lackluster campaign managers/advisors?
I mean, compared to the Republicans, the Democrat campaign managers and advisors suck. Mary Beth Cahill & Joe Trippi vs Karl Rove? Only Clinton had good campaign managers and advisors. But seriously, just look at how the Republicans dominated the last 50 years in the white house. And when Democrats did come in, they came in either narrowly (Kennedy), or because they got fed up of the Republicans (Carter). Only Lyndon Johnson and Clinton played them at their game and won.

Seriously though, Democrats need much better campaign managers that can play offensive and nonconventional rather than defensive and traditional.

2. It's not as simple as you make it out to be, you have to take
into consideration many who believe Liberals to be satan reincarnated and that to follow the liberal agenda that "All Are Created Equal" does not mean the same as All are deserving of the same treatment and laws of the land, gay, abortion rights, civil rights, etc...

Many will just not change that hatred against such.....though that in my mind is not how Jesus would have wanted them to behave..."fear" is a powerful weapon and the Conservative Republicans use such easily...

And people trully fear such, on another board, there were many going off about how Swaggart stating he would kill Gay people was surely a Godly way to defeat such evil..amazing the mindset..

It's not just the dem advisors and consultants (though you're right - they are very annoying). It's many democrats and liberals in general - whether in the media or our own reps. Even some former Clinton officials piss me off (like Dee Dee Meyers), and Trippi...Who else is there? That Pat Cadell guy? then there's Donna Brazile and Naomi Wolf (I think that was er name). Both have made public statements critical of the campaign. Of course, then there are the people currently advising like Mary Beth... Now it wouldn't be completely fair to assign all the blame to advisors and consultants, but the problem is dem candidates seem to listen to them way too much.

It's very frustrating. There is much more coordination among the republicans. Jon Stewart has mentioned this several times and he's absolutely right - the republicans always seem to have their talking points ready.

Not only that but you tend to hear little hand wringing and whining among them. Whether they're up or down, they NEVER concede anything. The republican reps I've seen on TV never criticize the president. It's amazing how seemingly lock step they are.

Now I'm not asking for the same mentality. Not everyone needs to marck lock step, but God, I don't understand what the need was for so many dem strategists/insiders, etc to whine and bitch as much to the media as they did in the last few weeks. Why can't they air these greivances privately? Carville mentioned this the other day and he was dead on.

11. Pat Cadell is a fraud
he is not a true liberal or democrat. all he does is spend his time bashing liberals and democrats on right wing media like fox news. if he was a true liberal he would be spending his time working on some causes . but the ONLY thing he does is bash the democrats.

6. I agree with your statement of....
Only Clinton had good campaign managers and advisors.

And SHE still does.
They're working hard now for her bid in '08 but drawing a paycheck from Kerry now.

Seriously.
Look at the crap that has happened since Carville, Begalia and Lockhart have come aboard, look at the polls, look at the media reports. Black and white.

7. You missed Ron Reagan on Tweety's show on Friday.
Tweety asked him what the difference was between Dems & Pubs. He said the Pubs were very diciplined, gave out their daily talking points and everyone followed them to the letter, from the Congress, to the Senate, to every talk show host.

The Dems act like they're sitting down at a backyord party to talk about what would really be best for everyone, and talk about it and why each idea is right or wrong. They don't believe in talking points!

Think about it. He's right. Some famous person said, I disorganized...I'm a Democrat!

8. Democrats believe that lying scumbags pollute the political process. So
they refuse to put them on the payroll.

12. HA! I guess that
slime ball Dick Morris was the exception that proved the rule? Sorry, but I can't stand most of these "political consultants" and Morris is particularly repulsiveto me. Sure he is a republican, but he also worked for Clinton (Bill--he hates Hillary--which I am sure is mutual) for many years.
