It seems apparent that their goals were the same. Both Al Qaeda and the Bush Crime family wanted Saddam removed from power. Saddam was a non-religious Sunni who ruled a country in which over 60% of the population was Shiite fundamentalist Islamic. Whatever the affinity for one another, they have both realized their dreams. Indeed, Saddam Hussein is sitting in prison as a broken man and Iraq is now fertile with Islamic radicals who seek to make it an Islamic fundamentalist state much like Iran. It is also rife with terrorist radicals and has become a base of training for radicals of other neighboring states. This was impossible under the brutal regime of Saddam Hussein. Additionally, Christians making up a mere 3% of the Iraqi population now fear for their lives and are fleeing Iraq for Syria, whereas before they had no fear of their religious preference under Saddam. Mission accomplished, George. Good job, by jove!
