"There is a difference between being a bully and being strong."
This is the key difference Kerry can show between * and himself.

Bullies always lose in the end, because the forces for good recognize a bully and work against him.

Strength is admired by all religions, and they rally around strength.
--

Bush has turned america into the world's bully.

Kerry can make us strong again, and respected.

My two cents for the day...

2. A bully...
only picks on those he knows to be weaker than himself. He kicks already downed cripples and thinks he's tough.

A man of strength isn't afraid to tackle someone or something stronger than himself because he believes that if it's for the right cause, he will somehow prevail. Think MLK and Ghandi.

4. there's also a difference between being resolute and just
plain stubborn

someone had posted a remark by a bush supporter -- the bush supporter felt we should not change presidents in the middle of a war -- he asked "if you hire a painter and the job is half done - would you fire the painter and start over?"

well - painting a house is not war

so to that person I ask "if you were in emergency surgry to have your appendix out and the surgeon was trying to remove your heart instead, wouldn't you want someone to fire that surgeon?"

5. Right On!

He hears you.

Kerry said this at Temple University yesterday,

"But the Bush administration would have you believe that when it comes to our allies, it won’t make a difference who is president. They say the Europeans won’t help us, no matter what. We’re not going to get more cooperation in the war on terror, no matter what. Ordinary people around the world will resent us, no matter what. But I have news for President Bush: just because you can’t do something, doesn’t mean it can’t be done."
--John Kerry, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, September 24, 2004

6. He's right, but has to dumb it down to the lowest common denom (sadly).
That's why I thought of the bully vs. strength analogy, nickel words for consumption by a society that struggles to understand a 10 cent word...
