Bush Lies TV Statement (taken from site)
http://bushlies2.us">Bush Lies TV
PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to what I believe is part karmic retribution for the 2000 election debacle, and part 'Clean Skies initiative' repercussions, we in the Orlando area are bracing for our record FOURTH hurricane in just under 2 months. Let me just say that I have lived in the Tampa/Orlando area for over 15 years now, and we have NEVER had a direct hit. This year, we are getting 3 (plus we received effects from Ivan, though not a direct hit). I do believe that the environmental policies of this administration (AKA 'Clean Skies Initiative") and some sort of karmic retribution for 2000 is at least in part to blame for all of this. At any rate, we will probably lose power at some time tonight. The average person that lost power in the previous 2 storms were without power for over 2 weeks. While we hope this will not happen, it probably will. We still have trees leaning on power lines from before that the power company has not been able to get to yet. Therefore, I will most likely not be able to encode any more videos until after the storm passes and the power is restored. The site should remain up, however - just no new videos until after the storm.

1. I hope Jeanne isn't too mean to Fla.
Bush may be a lot of things, but I think it is probably a stretch to attribute multiple hurricanes to him (or even Rove). Hopefully you have made preparations and won't be without utilities for too long. Good luck!

2. Is it really a stretch....
....to suggest that the worst environmental policies in decades has maybe influenced our weather?? I mean 15 years, not even a close call, then all of the sudden this happens. In fact, since 1896 NO category 3 or above hurricanes have ever hit the east Florida coast north of Palm Beach...that is until tonight when Jeanne will touch down about 200 miles north of that point.

3. Hurricanes should be named after Republicans. They do so much
damage. Delay, Frist, Hatch, etc.

4. Besides...
If the neocons can spread crap like 'liberals will ban the bible', I can blame Bush for the weather. lol. See, that is why they are so good...they spread little things like this in the general public, and the gullible public falls for it. Some schmucks down the line will quote it as fact and it spreads like wildfire. The repugs are great with this. See, national news media isnt everything. They master the art of water cooler rumor spreading. Noting in general conversation at work has to be true...just barely credible enough to repeat to another person, and it goes on down the line. Maybe his environmental policies haven't had an immediate effect on the weather, but I feel no shame in spreading the same sort of erroneous lies or exaggerations about them as they do about Kerry. No shame at all. My .02.

5. BTW...Still have power
Its actually pretty peaceful here in Orlando right now...looks like our freinds to the south aren't having it so lucky...but it is heading our way...looks like the media is concentrating on this on pretty much all channels, so nothing for me to record (though getting some great shots of Scarborough getting his ass kicked in the storm...lol..funny stuff...Ill encode and post after the storm).
