Kerry should call a halt to the "war on terror"...
Edited on Sat Sep-25-04 09:33 PM by kentuck
and say we will no longer fight a war on terror but will, in the future, fight a "war on terrorists". More specifically, a war on the terrorists that attacked our nation. Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda are still at large and reportedly are growing ever larger by the day. In an ill-defined "war on terror", the terrorists that attacked us were forgotten. Osama bin Laden is now Osama bin Forgotten. "Terror" is an invisible enemy. We cannot fight it because we cannot see it. However, we can fight the terrorists. We should no longer confuse the American people with the fear-mongering "war on terror"...We need to fight the real enemy and stop tilting at windmills and living in the shadows of fear.

1. Shouldn't it actually be a "War on Radical Islamists"?

2. Well, not really. Tim McVey wasn't a radical Islamist.

4. Patriot- Webster definition
I hope your not upset but thats not the definition of patriotism.
Here is the definition from the Webster dictionary.

patriotism - one who loves his or her country.

I love my country I do not support Bush. I still am a patriot according to the dictionary. It would be a unrealistic view of reality to support wrong decisions and situations that could get American troops killed like what is going on in Iraq.

3. Osama is the only one to claim responsibility
Osama is the only one to claim responsibility for Iraq not Saddam. Saddam was a bad guy but all the interviews he did on state TV he said he was not responsible for 9-11. I bet no one is watching the oil in Iraq its such a mess I bet.
