bush "Saddam bad" revisionist war "justification"...HELLO RIGHTWING IDIOTS
So if the invasion & occupation of Iraq is now all "justified" coz Saddam was a meanie, WHY didn't bush just make that his OFFICIAL JUSTIFICATION from the start???

Could it be coz of THIS?

The vast majority of Americans say "humanitarian" is not justification

In the latest PIPA polls, only 27 percent of respondents said they think that countries have the right, without UN approval, to overthrow another government that is committing "substantial violations of its citizens' human rights,".

41 percent said that intervention could be justified if the violations were "large-scale, extreme and equivalent to genocide."

In the case of Iraq, however, only 32 percent of respondents believed both that human rights abuses equivalent to genocide justified intervention and that such extreme violations were occurring under Hussein's rule.

Asked, "Do you think that there are other governments existing today that have human rights records as bad as that of Iraq under Saddam Hussein?" an overwhelming 88 percent said there are.

Perhaps bushCartel knew THIS would be the immediate result of any attempt to use "humanitarian intervention" as their excuse;

The war in Iraq cannot be justified as an intervention in defense of human rights even though it ended a brutal regime, Human Rights Watch said Monday, dismissing one of the Bush administration's main arguments for the invasion.

While Saddam Hussein had an atrocious human rights record, his worst actions occurred long before the war and there was no ongoing or imminent mass killing in Iraq when the conflict began, the advocacy group said in its annual report.

"The Bush administration cannot justify the war in Iraq as a humanitarian intervention, and neither can Tony Blair," executive director Kenneth Roth said.

Ain't it funny how now, AFTER all bush's other bullshite "justifications" have been totally debunked, NOW the rightwingnuttery and bushCartel say "humanitarian intervention" is reason enough.

Only 27% said it would be reason enough BEFORE the invasion; yet the rightwingnuttery and bushCartel expect us to accept this bogus "justification" AFTER, with tens of thousands of people are dead. Rightwingnuts, YOU are FOOLS...the rest of us are not.

1. Unfortunately the simpering, bed-wetting whores
of the mainstream media didn't do their job and just took everything fed to them by the Bushies at face value. They failed utterly at the number one duty of reporters/journalists - verify, verify, verify.

It's almost too late to turn this around - the propaganda arm of the Republican party (also known as Fox News Channel) has brainwashed so many people into believing that Iraq is the new front line in the war on terror that it would only take an admission from Bush himself that he lied. Kerry is making a start in calling Bush on this, but it'll be tough to counter.

2. What I usually just say to anyone who tries to fly this crap
is that if they can justify using U.S. tax dollars for humanitarian intervention, they have proven that there is such a thing as "social responsibility," therefore, supporting the concept of the "just society," therefore giving creedence to the left's position and claim to governance of this nation.
