The" Two-Faced Bush" -- How exactly is he two-faced?
Here are a few off the top of my head, can you add more:

Myth: Reality:
a common man from Texas -- born and educated in elitest east

wants Peace -- invaded Iraq without cause

values Freedom -- pushed Patriot Act through

"clean air act" -- allows industrial air pollution

"clean water act" -- allows industrial water pollution

"healthy forests" -- cut down trees in national forest

"fair" tax cuts -- huge tax cuts for the wealthy

education president -- failed to fund his own plan

your beer-drinking buddy -- doesn't drink beer (publicly)

1. I think Bush went to elementary & high school in Texas.
But common? No way. His family was very privileged.

6. he went to andover in NE
a prep school.

He is utterly duplicitous and speaks in rhetorical simplicities that have no hinge point with global realities.

His reactive heavy handed misinformed policies have resulted in far more deaths than those who tragically were killed on 9/11, and have truly made the world less safe.

In his debates with Gore in '00. . .

He was against nation building.

He said he wouldn't launch an assault unless he had an exit strategy.

I could go on but I'm getting sick to my stomach.

7. He went to a couple of elementary school grades
but was quickly enrolled in prep school in Connecticut for the bulk of his primary and secondary school education, as befits his birthright.

After all, you can't be much of a legacy student at any of the Ivies without having gone to prep school.

Bush is a Connecticut elitist. He's a TV cowboy, a Village People Texan.

9. 2000 debates
i would refer to the promises and pledges bush made, his lack of experience and knowledge of foreign relations, his failure to react to reality, and of course hubris.

4. Well...
Post 9/11: He claimed to be after those that caused 9/11 -- Was really ramping up to attack Iraq.

Builds himself as a great military leader -- Ran from the draft into the National Guard, ran from the National Guard into a cowardly drunken frenzy.

Claims to follow the teachings of Jesus -- A petty, vindictive, vengeful little man.

10. Yes! Those are good re: military and religious pretences
strong military leader -- ran from draft, ran from national guard, misled troops into Iraq before finishing job in Afghanistan

religious -- blew up frogs with firecrackers as a child, executed more people as governor of Texas than any other governor, started pre-emptive war with Iraq.

11. and this one is kinda important
"I hear you. The world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon."--George W. Bush, days after 9/11, ground zero

"So I don't know where he (bin Laden) is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, to be honest with you I truly am not that concerned about him"-- George W. Bush, March, 2003

Three years later, Osama bin Laden, his deputy, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, and over a dozen other top members of "the people who knocked down these buildings" are still free and George Bush is "not that concerned". It would be so easy to write ad's against this man.

12. Here are a few:
Tax plan: "lower income taxes for all, with the greatest help for those most in need." Not true. (Shameless promotion: See my brand new tax calculator on by website. Based on official gov't numbers. It is shocking...)

Education reform - Ohio is underfunded by $1.4 billion for No Child Left Behind (determined by the Ohio General Assembly, which is republican controlled...)

"America is Safer" - State Dept says Iran is the number one supporter of terror from 2000 to 2003. They still are...

"I'm a uniter no a divider" - "In 30 out of 35 countries polled, from all regions of the world, a majority or plurality would prefer to see John Kerry win the US presidential election—especially traditional US allies." (Univ. of Maryland Study)
