Posted a 2004 Bush Tax Cut "Screw-ometer" Calculator -> Enligtening...
just finished making a Java Script program that calculates a number tax figures based on the Congressional Budget Report on Bush's tax cuts. It generates a "report" of such that shows what how other income brackets compare to the income entered.

Did you guys know that Bush favors the wealthy... Gasp!

I just picked up Java Script, so if you find any problems let me know ASAP so I can fix it.

Please give it a shot, I think even hardcore DU'ers may be a little surprised... Get the link out to other people too, I think Joe/Jane Average will be quite shocked.

Please give me a post to this thread if you like it so this thread stays current.

Here is my site: http://getthefacts.atspace.com /

It is under LATEST STUFF.

1. cool, thanks
While I did get a slight return on my federal taxes, in reality, my total tax bill went up last year by a couple of hundred dollars. States had to make up for the lost revenue and my local taxes also soared.

2. The program compares the difference between the original
tax structure and the tax structure that Bush implemented. So in this sense, the tax cut is defined as the amount you would have paid if Bush didn't muck it up to favor the rich...

With Bush, everybody did get a reduction, but the upper 20% got major reductions.

4. that wasn't a criticism of your program
rather, a criticism of the chimp's assertion that the "vast majority" of the tax cuts are helping the middle-income and poor. What difference does it make to my overall liquidity if the taxes are federal or local.

The deficit spending is a "birth tax" on future generations.

I wonder if there is some sort of fiscal baptism to wash away this financial original sin?

8. I didn't think you were beating up on my program...
Just wanted to clarify how I defined the tax cut.

7. If you're from Ohio, you can use it to pay the $1.4 billion that
No Child Left Behind is costing above the federal money Bush gave us...

That's true by the way, the Ohio General Assembly (Republican controlled) did a study on it. The link is on my site to if you are interested..
