MoveOn PAC is here and they need Precinct captains and action volunteers. Kentucky and Indiana people welcome also. Contact me via my inbox and I will put you directly in contact with the staff.

Precinct captains must be able to take off work Nov. 2. Precinct captain positions are being trained first and are the highest priority.

6. Don't be daunted. Precinct captaining will probably only take about 7 hour

of your time in the next 6 weeks. If you get people to help, it will be much less.

And it's incredibly important.

11. I second Rosebud on this one...

Especially when you live in Cincinnati, you feel like you're the only liberal in town. There's nothing quite so stimulating as walking into a room crowded with people who hate Bush just as much as you do -- possibly even more.

Tuesday night (September 28th) is the annual Fall Reception of the Hamilton County Democratic Party. All the candidates will be there, and it's a great event. It's at the Vernon Manor Hotel from 5:30 to 7:30 and the cost to attend is just $30 -- feel free to give more if you can afford it. It has a great "pep rally" feel and there are drinks and hors d'ouvres.

And don't forget Wednesday night (September 29th) is the Cincinnati Kerry Volunteer meeting at the Letter Carriers Hall on Blue Rock Road and Colerain Avenue in Northside. Time is 6:30 or 7:00 - I forget which.

And what the hell, while we're at it, there's a Democratic Debate Watching Party at Crowley's Irish Pub in Mt. Adams. It's one of the great Democratic bars in Cincinnati, owned by Cincinnati City Councilman and bleeding-heart liberal David Crowley.
