What entertainers will perform at Kerry's innauguration party?
I think I remember in 1992 for Clinton's party there was Bob Dylan and maybe Fleetwood Mac and Ray Charles maybe Aretha Franklin? I'm not sure -- kinda foggy there.

But think about Kerry! He has tons of musicians working to get out the vote for him. It could be the greatest inaugural concert ever on the Mall in DC!

Just think!

Bruce Springsteen
Willie Nelson
U2
REM
John Mellencamp
The Black Eyed Peas

The list just goes on and on!
Anybody wanta throw some ideas around?

:)

22. Queen are right-wingers
They defied the boycott of Sun City during apartheid, and various members have spewed various apologia for wingnut views over the years, especially when Thatcher was in charge.

Kind of fits their turgid and overbearingly pretentious music.

23. Thanks, ZW! Queen certainly were Tory prats...
and their fascistic music would have been an appropriate soundtrack for a Third Reich if Ernst Roehm and his buddies/playthings hadn't been murdered

I know that's not R & B but Chuck usually has a good r&b song to play on fridays on his show and it made me think of him :)

17. Yes!
They played at a big fundraiser for him here in Cali, and when he gave his speech he talked about going to the Fillmore to see them when he was stationed on Treasure Island before shipping out to Nam. They are tight.

He also has a poster of them in his Senate office.

wayne newton? i mean, he would have to accept, and he would be all by himself, no other republicans to hide behind. and he can't sing anymore, and...

i know. i'm a sadist. i just wonder what kind of excuse he would come up with.

my for-real suggestion would be bob hope.

Stewart Copeland can do more with a hi hat than most people can do with an entire set. I've been studying his playing for the last few months.
